    Located 100km east of Florence, Caprese Michelangelo is a village and commune in Tuscany, in the province of Arezzo. It is named in honour of being the birthplace of the renowned Renaissance artist Michelangelo, and contains several buildings related to his life, including the Michelangelo Museum.     Caprese Michelangelo is a small village with a population of just 1,600 (approx), and most visitors come purely to visit the birthplace of the village’s most famous son. There are several sights which focus on the life and times of Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, including the Michelangelo Museum and Library – which is an absolute must-see for anyone holidaying in the area.
