    Torcross is a pretty village nestling between the beach and the Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve, a fresh water lake in the South Hams district of Devon. It is at the western end of the shingle beach, Slapton Sands, which is in the middle of Start Bay. The village is a haven for artists keen to paint the spectacular views of the sands from the hills above.
