It is a long coastal resort in the south of Fuerteventura, which is one of the Canary Islands a few miles off the Southern coast of mainland Spain.     The beach at Costa Calma is ideal for sunbathing with a relatively calm sea for swimmers to enjoy, while also being suitable for windsurfing. The beach is sufficiently long to attract joggers and Nordic walkers in the mornings before the sun gets too hot. The resort is right by Jandia National Park and is a picturesque setting with white sands and turquoise blue waters.

    Families can enjoy lots of fun at the Baku Water Park in Corralejo, which has ten pin bowling, crazy golf, a driving range, restaurants and shops. There is one 18-hole golf course on the island at the popular resort of Caleta de Fuste. Another way to get about is by taking one of several boat excursions including one on a glass bottomed boat

    Costa Calma is a long resort with no real central area, but there are several shopping centres with restaurants and stores. This is a very popular resort for nightlife with many bars and entertainment for the tourists. Every Sunday there is a market with various arts, crafts, clothing items and other gifts sold by stallholders from a mix of different countries and cultures.

The Animal Experience is part of the Baku Theme Park in the north of Fuerteventura and features an aquarium.     Tourists will also find several museums here including Los Molinos Interpretive Centre, which is based in a restored windmill.
