    Located on the south-eastern slopes of the Sierra de Gador mountain range, Berja is a rural and traditional Spanish town where locals far outnumber tourists. Although facilities within the town are good, perhaps the biggest selling point of Berja is its location. 25km one way is the Sierra Nevada National Park, whilst 25km in the other direction are the beaches of the Costa de Almeria.
