The villa is set within its own lush tropical grounds, with a commanding view of Lance Aux Epinés Bay and the Caribbean Sea. This special Caribbean villa is situated in a fashionable and exclusive residential area on the south coast end of the island of Grenada. The views and the scenery across the Caribbean Sea from the property are spectacular.

This Grenada villa is a short walk from the Caribbean Sea coastline and we are fortunate to have three lovely sandy beaches all within a very short walking distance to the property. On week-days these beaches are almost exclusively yours to use.

With nature at its best at this end of the island, you'll find and see many beautiful sunsets, flora and fauna, such as hummingbirds, doves and other tropical birds, flowers, trees and wildlife in and around the grounds of the house. Step inside to your own private retreat. Take a dip in our mosaic plunge pool, sunbathe and relax in private. British born with both Grenadian and Irish parents. Our father was born in Grenada and lived most of his life in Grenada. Returning in 1983 to live once more on the island.

  • Our villa accommodation is suitable for 4 adults only. We can also accommodate one small child under 10 years on the understanding that a baby will be in a cot or you either double up with the small child in one of the bedrooms. Or, the younger child sleeps on a fold up bed. The second bedroom has larger single beds. There is a baby crib/travel cot at the property and a few other child extras to accommodate an infant under 3 years. Both bedrooms are fully screened - with A/C units, mosquito nets and standing fans. The second bedroom has an overhead far as well.

Home from home and more!

We came to Grenada, an island we know and love, at the last minute for some much needed R and R. From the minute we arrived and were welcomed by Philomena, the stress started to dissolve. The house and pool were immaculate and we just couldn't wait to unpack and collapse. Our bedroom was gorgeous and very comfortable and Janet who came a few times, made sure it was all kept spick and span. As we were on a very laid back break and had been to the island many times, we didn't venture out much. However when we did Natalie and her taxi were always on hand to deliver us wherever.

Sunday lunch at the Aquarium is always a must for us and where better to stop for lunch after the walk along Grand Anse than Umbrellas on the beach. Wonderful, and large!, chicken Caesar salads we also used the University Club for great lunches and the perfect spot for sundowners on the beach.

We had a wonderful time and really didn't want to leave. On our last night there was a full moon and clear sky, what better for a midnight swim!!!!

Owner's Response: Glad you all had the R&R that you wished for. Grenada is a great place for that and we are happy the house lived up to your expectations too. Yes, I love the University Club House, its almost my second home. I'm always over there using their beach and facilities which I often have to myself. Sundowners and sunsets from their balcony are also a must as is a dip in the pool at mid-night under the starry sky... I sometimes find it hard to leave the place too.... Come back soon as my staff found you exemplary guests...

A Wonderful Home in the Sunshine

A lovely home in a serene residential area, suitable for early morning walks or afternoon jogging. A mile walk to the local beach, an excellent scuba outfit, and a handful of nice restaurants, but do rent a car or be prepared to negotiate the local bus system, because the rest of the island as well as the grocery shopping is a hilly distance away. The house itself was clean and delightful with an indoor pool in the patio area.

The owner helped us organize and arrange our whole stay, from car rental to pick up at the airport, to first night's shopping waiting for us in the fridge. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

10 days of privacy and relaxation

I came to stay at Park Drive for 10 days without the children!

What can I say, I had a wonderful time . Janet and the team that run the house in the owners absence were all so helpful and friendly I felt at ease immediately.

I've travelled a lot around the Caribbean and this is the first time I have rented a whole villa i was a little worried as to what I would find, but the house has everything I could need and then some! From great overhead showers to a panini grill and beach toys if only I had brought the kids. Hahaa

I hired a car for my stay and took to spending my mornings exploring the island, cooling my toes in the natural waterfalls to finding wares and produce in the markets. The fish market is amazing and the sellers are eager to help you, fresh fish, cleaned and gutted in one go.

Back at the house, grilling on the BBQ under a blanket of stars. It's amazing that you forget just how many there are in the sky.

Grand anse beach is a good beach and I would recommend contacting the school of the blind and booking a massage the best 90 mins that makes you feel regenerated. The price is extremely welcome to. They do all types of massages so it's really worth a visit

Umbrellas for afternoon lunch was good, and it was nice to see all the local expats hanging out.

I sadly didn't make it bb's crab back although I was told it was great but I shall makes sure it's on the list for next time!

Overall I found my stay perfectly relaxing the house is situated overlooking a quiet bay and so you can open up all the windows and just bask in the cooling sea breeze and for those that prefer the artificial form the AC units in the bedrooms and living room work perfectly.

Coupled with ceiling fans and standing fans, no mossie stands a chance of settling!!

it really was a wonderful trip and I most certainly will be returning to both Grenada and the villa only with the children as once they saw the pool in my pictures and heard how I had dipped in at midnight I was sworn to a promise to return

On arrival Monday 10 October, the pool was like pea soup, green and opaque. It was not fit for use for 6 days. There was no hot water as both the gas boiler and electric heater were not working. We had cold showers for two days. The ceiling fan and 50% of the lights were not working. We could not use the standing fans as they were covered in rust, grease and dirt. The cable television was not working. The internet broadband connection failed after two days. The gas boiler failed again two days after being fixed when the pilot light went out. I managed after several attempts to restart it. The electric water heater failed again on the Friday. The advertised gourmet kitchen (circa 1950) contained a miniature microwave, a rusty stove an old fridge freezer, worn cupboard doors and clutter everywhere. The advertised icemaker was two plastic trays in the deep freezer. The washing machine found in a filthy cluttered storage room was an ancient top loader which we were advised after arriving not to use as it would ruin our clothes. The alternative machine was not working and nothing was planned to replace it. We were advised three days before our departure that the advertised daily maid service was in fact only three days a week. The property was generally tired with plaster falling off the walls, sliding doors that needed shouldering to open and rattled in the wind (we were provided with rubber wedges to stop the rattle) and chunks of brick had come away by one of the windows.

We spent Tuesday through Saturday with a constant stream of workmen disrupting what was supposed to be a peaceful holiday. By Saturday evening things seemed to have settled when the electrician left. At 2.00am Sunday morning we were woken with the sound of running water and an inch of water covering the floors of the bedrooms. The leak was from the electric water heater above one of the wardrobes soaking clothes stored therein. We spent the next five hours moping and bailing water before a neighbour turned the water off at the mains. We now had no toilet facilities or any running water for washing after working half the night to limit any damage to the property. The plumber arrived at 8.00am but could not locate where the leak was coming from or why it had occurred. He was unable to guarantee it would not happen again. It was at this point we decided to leave.

Owner's Response: We were sorry things went wrong during this guests stay. Such a breakdown at the house is unprecedented in the 15 years since operating holiday rentals. We take this matter seriously. I understand the guests comments. They've paid lots of money to go the West Indies, rent a house and expect everything to be in working order. My management team on the ground were derelict in their duties, they did not attend to matters carefully. The buck stops with the owners. I made a personal visit Oct witnessed, discovered for myself, discussed matters with team, staff as why the house was not in the ship shape order. They clearly took their eyes off the ball. From hence forward the housekeeper will ensure everything is in working order prior to occupancy. On arrival guests will be guided through a check list before handing over keys.Repairs & changes to the property, I personally managed, fixed, installed: a brand new hot water heater, a new gas water heater, a more efficient modem, migrated from an existing internet provider to a system that offers faster speeds less interruptions/service breakdowns. Nothing wrong with the TV or the cable service. The guests changed the tv settings. Likewise the overhead remote control fan. That worked perfectly. Both user error. 3 fans (cylinder style) purchased new, January 16 none are/were covered in dust. A/c units were available! All a/c units in perfect working order. 1 standing fan for use outside (patio area) is a little marked but in perfectly good working order and is provided to blow away any irritating mossies. Repainted. Top loader washing machine & cooker. Cooked lots of meals and used the washing machine daily. Advice to all guests is don't use for fine clothes as the wash and spin cycle is so heavy duty. I personally oversaw all the repairs and the damage caused by the water leak. Our plumber remains uncertain why it leaked!! The new one is sited elsewhere, in the event of an overflow. We refunded their money, sent a case of Prosecco, flowers and chocolates as a means to appease.... As owners we strive to provide guests with a property that is highly functional and in good working order. We are not cynical owners and wish only to make our guests happy and comfortable. It is not in our interest to make them miserable as that has a negative effect on our future bookings... To prevent this ever happening again we've engaged an on-sight manager locally to prevent any management team oversight or breakdown.

To make a definite booking we provide a booking form & terms and conditions of rental. 25% payment of the total rent is required as a deposit. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure. We also require a damage/deposit bond in the form or a check/cheques, which we hold for the duration of your stay. We do not bank this unless damages and breakages are reported by the renter or the housekeeper during your stay.
