Located in the south of the country, this is a fantastic county to visit at any time of the year with plenty of things to do and see. Skane has some magnificent places to visit including the capital of the county, Malmo. The city boasts some wonderful buildings including the 14th century St Peter’s Church and the more modern Malmo Synagogue. Another fine city worth visiting in Skane is Helsingborg, which has an attractive waterfront and buildings such as the city hall and the Church of Saint Mary. The medieval tower of Karnan in Helsingborg is a fine sight and is all that remains of a 14th century Danish fortress. Holidaymakers keen on nature may like to visit the national park of Dalby Soderskog, where there are some glorious plants to be seen.

July and August are the warmest months with an average high of 21 degrees centigrade. July and November are on average the wettest months with 61mm of rainfall per month, although precipitation is fairly even spread across the whole year. The winter months are prone to significant snowfall.
