The beautiful Seychelles is an island nation situated in the Indian Ocean about 937 miles (1500km) east of Africa. This quite exclusive destination has long been popular for its fantastic beaches and weather and is growing in popularity now for Seychelles honeymoons and holidays for other special occasions. There is a wonderful selection of self catering accommodation available in the Seychelles, from luxury apartments to detached houses and villas right by the beach, and though the Seychelles is often associated with holiday for couples, this tropical paradise is also perfect for families and friends too.
Seychelles holidays will generally consist of spending time on the beach, enjoying the fabulous warm weather, and relaxing. Windsurfing, yachting, and surfing are popular, plus there are some amazing places to go snorkelling and scuba diving including one of the world’s largest corals at Aldabra Atoll.

Although a lot of time will be spent on your Seychelles holiday enjoying the beaches, the islands do have other attractions too. You can enjoy beautiful colonial architecture here as well as a popular market where you can stock up on tasty fresh produce for your Seychelles self catering accommodation. The Natural History Museum and National Museum of History are both here and are worth the visit to find out more about the islands, and make sure you see Victoria’s famous clock too!

There is little variation in the temperature and its generally hot and humid with an average temperature across the year of 29C (84F). November to March is slightly warmer overall, but this is also the wetter time of the year.
The Seychelles are fairly remote, yet your Seychelles accommodation is still easy to get to with a major international airport on the main island of Mahe, near the capital. The Seychelles International Airport is home to the national airline, Air Seychelles, who fly from destinations such as London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, and more, plus airlines including Condor, Emirates and Eurofly also fly here.
