There are thousands of castles and fortresses dating back to the 12th century which adorn the landscape, and around Fermanagh and Tyrone especially are an astonishing array of Stone Age discoveries. One of the most popular beaches is the Portrush East Strand Blue Flag Beach, which features fabulous views over the Skerries to the Scottish Islands and is backed by an extensive dune system and the Royal Portrush golf course. The Glens of Antrim features lovely valleys and waterfalls.
