Many excursions can be arranged from Madrid to other places of interest with trains taking visitors to places like Toledo and El Escorial, where there are many grand buildings.

Travel to Madrid City, Spain

Madrid Barjas Airport is approximately eight miles from the city centre and has flights to and from most European countries as well as other destinations across the globe through airlines such as easyJet, Ryanair and Iberia. The latter also offers domestic flights to and from Bilbao, Barcelona, Valencia and the Spanish island resorts amongst others. The Metro gets you  downtown in about 30 minutes. Shuttle buses are frequent, and there are always taxis available but with the busy traffic in Madrid, the journey may take up to one hour.
