Holidaymakers looking for a vacation in a beautiful coastal location should look no further than Hermanus in South Africa. Located in the Western Cape in the south west corner of the country there are many interesting things to see and do in Hermanus. Hermanus also has many bars, coffee shops and restaurants with a good variety of cuisine.
Hermanus is home to many places of interest including museums and galleries such as the Old Harbour Museum, De Wet’s Huis Photo Museum, Fisherman’s Gallery and Gallery Number 10. Boat trips are available from the harbour and include whale watching excursions or trips to Shark Valley, Dyer and Geyser Islands where they may see the great white shark.There are many places of natural beauty in and around Hermanus such as L’Agulhas National Park and Fernkloof Nature Reserve. Holidaymakers may also like to visit one of the wineries in the region. Cape Town is just an hour and 25 minute’s drive from Hermanus and has many more interesting places to visit including the famous Table Mountain.

The warmest months are January and February with an average temperature of 21 degrees centigrade, whilst in June, July and August the average is approximately 13 degrees centigrade.
Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is approximately one hour and 15 minute’s drive from Hermanus and has flights to and from various cities. These include the other main cities of South Africa as well as Amsterdam, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, London and Singapore. There are seasonal flights from Frankfurt and Munich in Germany.
