Wonderful Windsor Apartment

5 of 5
We had a wonderful week at this property (myself, husband and two young children). We chose it primarily for the location and for the quality. We chose well! The apartment had everything we could possibly need -and many extras that made our stay even better. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of wardrobe space. The living area was a great place to unwind after a busy day. Sky TV was much appreciated and the WiFi was excellent. The addition of an outside space was a real bonus (especially as we had lovely weather during our stay) and having private parking was such a luxury. Not once did we have to worry about travelling/parking. The only time we actually used the car was to go to Legoland (and even then we could have caught a bus from the town centre). The reason we didn't need to use our car was because this apartment is in such a fantastic location. It was very quiet, but literally only a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Windsor. We simply walked everywhere! We spent a couple of days in and around Windsor (the castle was well worth a visit) a day at Legoland (busy, but to be expected at the height of summer - our 7 year old loved it) and for two days we caught the train from Windsor into London and had a wonderful time seeing all the sights. We went to London direct from Windsor to Waterloo (rather than to Paddington via Slough, which is slightly quicker) as it suited us better not to have to change trains with young children and a buggy etc). This worked really well. There are trains approx every 30 minutes. We met the owner of the property on our arrival, which was nice and she was very accommodating. It was the addition of little extras that made this property really special. Good quality towels, a large laundry bag in the wardrobe, a highchair, changing mat and cot for our 1 year old. There were some toys and games too, which we really appreciated. All in all I cannot recommend this property enough. There is so much to do in the area and being able to walk into such a lovely town as Windsor, with all it's shops and restaurants made everything so easy. We would love to return and definitely hope to. Thank you!

Ideal to explore Windsor thoroughly.

5 of 5
My wife and I have enjoyed the facilities at No. 9 for many years, now, visiting 4/5 times each year giving us time to explore and get to know the area thoughly. A five minute walk takes us to the castle and/or the shops and ten minutes takes us to the riverside. We are within easy reach of glorious walks in and around Windsor Great Park including the famous Polo grounds and Royal Lodge. The Long Walk takes us from the castle gates to the Copper Horse, if you can manage the six miles or so there and back. So many other places could be mentioned ~ places only seen in travel brochures. We are within easy reach of London by train or bus (with the help of our national bus passes) as well as being able to get to know many other interesting places. The facilities at the flat are ideal for such a stay and, as long our health and strength allows, I can't think of any reason why we should look elsewhere.
