Christmas 2014

5 of 5
There is nothing better than a festive getaway where it still feels like home. A wreath on the door, a Christmas tree in the living room and a real Cornish cream tea on arrival - we were home for Christmas! Being originally from the county ourselves and knowing the area well, it was a delight to discover this converted barn, hidden down a country road, yet in easy access to the main Helston road. A spacious, yet cosy property, we felt comfortable there and the children enjoyed the large garden to play in. We would definitely recommend for a stay, whether family, friends, or a indulgent weekend away for two.

Tasteful traditional cosy cottage - home from home

5 of 5
We spent a week at this lovely cottage with our 2 children and it had everything to meet our needs - well apart from a dishwasher but I hadn't planned on cooking much! Tucked away down a country road but not too far from a local pub and situated well for trips to St Ives, Porthleven and Gwithian. Great open plan living/dining area and a lovely garden. Owners were very helpful and we would return to this property

Cosy Cottage

5 of 5
We booked this place mainly due to the price, as we were planning to spend most of the trip elsewhere. Therefore, we weren't expecting much... However, the cottage was lovely! It was clean, warm and cosy and the location was wonderful. The first night, we arrived in the dark and went to the local pub for food. They were very welcoming and the food and beer was great. The next morning, we saw Porthallow in the light and loved it! The cove was a great place to start and end each day. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone heading down that way.
