A true gem!

5 of 5
Fantastic cottage! Although we knew it had sea views, the photos on the website do not do this cottage justice. The view is stunning, and the cottage really comfortable and well equipped. It was spotlessly clean, and lacked for nothing. All my dealings with the owner were easy and she was very helpful in recommendations, and answered my many emailed questions promptly and in a friendly and helpful manner. The coastal walks in both directions are gorgeous, and very interesting. For anyone who likes fish, we highly recommend buying fresh fish from the Ventnor Haven Fisheries, who land their fish daily (we had it every day!) Also for garlic lovers-the Garlic Farm in Newchurch. We ate enough garlic to ward off heart disease and vampires for years! We would absolutely recommend this cottage and Ventnor.

Fantastic Cottage

5 of 5
We had a fabulous stay at Smugglers Cottage. We were a family of 7 traveling with a 5 and 7 year old and we all loved it! It was exactly what we needed for a few days away from London after a hectic Christmas period. The wood burning stove was wonderful and the cottage was cosy. It offered everything from a fully equipped kitchen to games and comfortable bedding. Sally and Matt are great hosts making sure everything we needed was provided for and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Great find and hope to return one day.

“The perfect holiday, we loved it!”

5 of 5
I am almost hesitant to write this review about the Dairymans Cottage Yarmouth because selfishly I don't want anyone to know about this amazing place as I fear It will never be available to me ever again. I want it to be our little secret'. So here goes anyway! Yesterday myself and my two children girl (8) and boy (11) just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Dairyman's Cottage in Yarmouth. It was the first holiday I have had now with my children as a Dad on his own. So it needed to be extra special!! Which it was and really didn't disappoint. First of all the Dairyman's cottage was set in a beautiful part of Yarmouth between Calbourne and Freshwater. It was a great location part of the Tapnells Manor Farm Estate. If you wanted to get to the great beaches of Compton Bay and Alum Bay and the needles and so close to Tennyson Down. The cottage was so roomy it had 3 great sized double bedrooms and a lovely twin bedroom for the children. So officially sleeps 8. It has I f I can remember three en suite bathrooms with lovely showers including the ground floor with a wet room. Also a separate main bathroom also with a lovely bath to relax into after along day at the beaches and walking Tennyson Downs. The standard of all the rooms and furnishings was very high. The linen was very high quality and the workmanship in the rooms including all the tiling was exceptional. The kitchen was fantastic and had every thing you needed (except possibly a broom? which I am sure there was but couldn't find?). However there was a Henry hoover which I did use. The living room was so comfortable with large flat screen TV which my boy loved as he bought his PS3 with him and loved the fact that he could really chill after a long day at the beach. It had Sky Tv and we used it couple of time and relaxed and watched a movie as a family. There is a large wooden farmhouse table that seats 10. A perfect entertaining table. Also sliding French Doors in both the living room and ground floor bedroom that look out tho the back garden and terrace and view of the downs. So nice to leave the doors open in the warm summer evenings. The view from all the rooms were all wonderful looking out towards Tennyson Down and the sea possibly Brook. Every morning my little girl would run at the crack of 7.30 am would attempt to get a freshly laid egg from the 20 beautiful red clucking hens in the chequered Chook house (caravan) near the Eco Huts on the farm. They were all
