The best holiday ever!

5 of 5
I cannot recommend this house enough. Rest assured that you WILL NOT be disappointed! The house is stunning, and as we drove up to the house, all the adults turned into big kids, all rushing around, desperate to see everything. The house is fantastically well equipped. With a kitchen to die for! The house has everything in it that you could ever desire. The house was clean, and clearly well loved and looked after. The bedrooms are all really spacious, we were a group of 9 adults and 5 children. There was never a feeling of being on top of each other, with a smaller lounge (with TV) that suited the kids (or the big kids - the boys) when they wanted to play games etc. The bathrooms are spacious, with a wet room and en suite so no queuing! The outside space was FANTASTIC!! Soooo much space to roam around for the kids, yo play sports and generally roam, but it felt safe to let them do so. BUT a sneaky little area for the adults at the top of the garden where the BBQ area is, was our favourite, plenty of time drinking wine up there!! I'm not sure the pictures or any review can do this house justice. If you are 'umming and arrring' about this house or another, make it this one, you won't be disappointed, you will love it. Country living at its finest, with the hotel next door that you can walk to should you fancy a night off from cooking, and within a 5 minute drive to Wadebridge! We really LOVED this house, and it would be at the top of our list when re booking in Cornwall.

Beautiful cottage, well equipped

5 of 5
Beautiful english cottage, perfectly well equipped, quiet surroundings. Walk to the beach 10 min is ok! Many things to do and see in the area. Beautiful coastal walks and cliffs and beaches. Clean, well-maintained, good communication with owner/manager! Cycling on the coastal trail is a bit adventurous, but possible. Main street to busy, but other streets good for cycling in a wonderful area! Also some cycling paths available. I wound definitely recommend this cottage!

Charming characterful cornish delight

5 of 5
We have stayed at Lane Cottage, the Farm house and more recently the Annex property. All 3 are charming, rustic, quiet, family friendly and beautifully located. We stayed at Lane Cottage as a couple but have come back as a family on several occasions and feel that the setting is as suited to couples, families of any age, or groups of friends. Within easy walking distance of the facitlies and beach of Mawgan Porth as well as a couple of minutes from the lovely Park Restaurant these properties are ideally situated with the most amazing views. The Annex in particular has fantastic sea views on both sides of the living area - so beautiful and tranquil. Our latest stay was with our 2 children aged 4 & 7 and they absolutely love it here. There is lots of safe space for them to run around, feel free, and the whole vibe of the place is very relaxed and informal. The kids can play and we can enjoy a relaxed glass of wine with an amazing view. Everyone that stays here seems very friendly, while respecting each others space and the owners are a delightful and helpful family. Internally the properties have kept their charm with a rustic, relaxed feel and the little personal touches like the beautiful art on the wall really do make the difference. We really believe there is no better place to stay in Mawgan Porth. As a base Mawgan Porth is fantastic. Newquay and Padstow just down the road. Lovely cliff top walk to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen or Bedruthen steps. Lots of great restaurants, lovely pubs beautiful walks and amazing beaches. This was the first time we have visited out of season and we liked it just as much as in the warmer months. We were warm in the Annex but loved walking on the quiet beaches and getting wrapped up to go out in the cold. As a family we love to travel and have taken our children to many different countries - but we also keep finding ourselves coming back to these properties in Mawgan Porth - their charm is quite captivating. We will be back in August.............
