Great weekend in a lovely lodge.

5 of 5
I really can't recommend this lodge enough. I booked up for a long weekend with my wife, my sisters and my parents and we were all over the moon with the lodge when we arrived. The lodge itself is very clean and comfortable with plenty seating for all 6 of us. The bedrooms/ bathrooms were comfortable and clean. The showers in particular were brilliant. The thing I was most impressed by was the view out to the water and hills form the livingroom and master bedroom. waking up to that view and watching the sun set behind the hills was perfect. Russell was a breeze to deal with. Always replying to emails quickly and was very friendly in general. We Loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay in the lodge again. The Foote family, Dunfermline.

Lovely cottage, perfect location

5 of 5
This place was all we had hoped for and more! We wish we could have taken the beautiful historical fireplace, old wooden floors, stunning view and comfy couch back home with us. The cottage feels homely and cosy, is well-decorated yet clean and spacious. In fact, it is so well equipped that we felt kind of pampered. We were lucky enough to be able to have several breakfasts outside in the sunny garden while enjoying the bird chatter, tulips and daffodils around us. But once the temperature dropped and Scottish rain showers arrived we were lucky again, as we could now also enjoy the fire place, good books on the shelves and lovely seat on the window-sill. For us, the location of the property was perfect: rural yet not too isolated, quiet and peaceful yet central enough to explore many of Scotland's gems. We particularly recommend: walking (the entire area is beautiful, but we especially loved path from Kenmore overlooking Loch Tay, riverside path along the Tay, lakeside path from Killin, Falls of Acharn), Aberfeldy farm shop and mill bookshop/cafe, drive the local route (road B898) from Grantully/Strathtay to Dunkeld if you have the time. Thanks a million Jan & Colin!

Great accommodation in a great location.

5 of 5
Second visit for myself with some newcomers in tow. Firbush is comfortable, clean, well maintained and welcoming. The weather was great this visit - holidays in Scotland can't be beaten in sunny, midge free weather. The season was just starting but all onsite facilities (bistro, boat hire, archery etc) were available and the site is child friendly and safe. Plenty of outdoor activities around the area (walking, golf, rivers, bird watching etc) and lots of restaurants within driving distance if you don't want to cook. Killin (10 min drive) has a well stocked Co-op if provisions are required. The rental and refund processes are straightforward and stress free - responses from the owners in all communications is prompt and friendly. Local assistance is also available but we did not have need of this. Highly recommended as a holiday base on the shores of Loch Tay.
