Amazing villa, brilliant staff, highly recommended

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time at villa champagne. Nid is an amazing manager and took complete care of us, she is a lovely person and was so good to us. Her team of staff were all fantastic, courteous, friendly and hard working. The villa is lovely and so well managed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was great every day, the in-house massages were great and very relaxing and the taxi journeys were comfortable and safe. Before we arrived, I was worried the location was a bit out of the way, however there is a great restaurant in the resort next door and another casual restaurant a 2 minute walk away which we had drinks at and got takeaway from quite a few times. Nid is also very accommodating and organised food for us to cook at the villa on the BBQ and organised takeaway meals when needed. We travelled with our 11 month old and everything we needed was provided. We also stayed with another couple, and the villa was perfect, as the couple slept separately from us so they didn't hear our son if he woke in the middle of the night! I highly recommend staying at villa champagne. A brilliant holiday! Thanks Koh Samui Lifestyle.

Best Holiday ever on Samui

5 of 5
We stayed at this beautiful villa at Plumeria place for two weeks in April with two teenagers and it was absolutely perfect. We have been to Samui several times before but this was by far the best accommodation we have had. It has everything you can think of for a relaxing holiday. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable and cleaned to a very high standard. There is air conditioning in every room which was lovely especially in the evening after eating out we found the lounge so relaxing and the villa had such nice outside lighting at night. We loved being able to have music played out by the pool and while we were sitting in the sala.We hired a car which was delivered when we arrived and collected when we left. The location is ideal, we didn't realise how nice Bangrak was until we stayed there, we have been to several beaches on the island but this was one of our favourites, quiet but with enough there to have a relaxing drink or some good food. We hardly used the car in the evenings which is a first for us as you can walk to so many nice places to eat in Bangrak. If we wanted to go those few minutes extra we used the little bus or a taxi from the end of the drive into Fishermans village for about 200 Baht where you are spoilt for choices of where to eat. All in all we loved this place and will definitely be back. Thank you James and also Sue who looks after you in Samui, nothing was too much trouble.

How could you not give this place 5 stars?

5 of 5
Egotistically I am a bit reluctant to write this review as I would rather keep the knowledge of this place for myself but it just wouldn't be correct of me after the fantastic stay we had. 8 fo us (2 families) were fortunate enough to rent this house for 2 weeks in January and have nothing but positive things to say from the moment we got in touch with the owner and then met the manager until the day we left. We spent one week each in the master bedroom which is truly superb. The property is exactly as it is described, it is clean, well located and comfortable. Everything is new and works well. Bophut (possibly the nicest town on Samui) is a short walk away even though we decided it was best to rent scooters for our entire stay to run people down rather than walk and occasionally we rented a car or used taxis to go further away. Bang Rak is also a very short ride away. Restaurant-wise Orgasmic is very close and one if the best restaurants on the island. We went there occasionally but also rated very highly less fancy and expensive places like My Friend, the Hut and the other non fancy Thai restaurant near the first tattoo place in Bophut - in these last two the food is great and they are inexpensive but the service is very slow so they are not the places to go to if you are in a hurry. We really enjoyed eating regularly at all the local markets and also loved the reggae place on the beach in Bang Rak. The ferry to Phangan leaves from Bang Rak, costs 200 baht per person and takes about 40 minutes - I would truly recommend a visit. You can also take take longtail boats from the other side of the island to go visit Koh Thanod and some other small islands. The belgian owner of French Kiss Thanod can organise them for you and also prepares great (western) food with excellent beers and a beautiful view. I would NOT recommend all the expensive organised tours such as the safaris, boat charters (which are not charters at all but preset tours), other tourist attractions, zoos etc. - we only did the elephant ride and then decided we would do no more. It was the only unpleasant part of our trip and the only Thai people we didn't get on with. To sum things up if we decide to go back to Samui we will definitely be staying in this house again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
