I stayed at Villa Kadi (Karma) with a group of yachtie friends from Sunday 3rd November for one week – we all needed to get away to somewhere quiet and relaxing after a busy summer season - Villa Kadi and Estepona and the surrounding area were perfect for this. The villa, elevated on top of a small hill, has beautiful views of mountains behind, the sea in front and a lovely view of Estepona during the day – the night time view from the terrace of the twinkling lights in the distance and stars above is lovely – peaceful and relaxing.
We’d hired a car and could easily get to local supermarkets for provision shopping and to visit the surrounding area. We enjoyed lunch in the nearby Port of Estepona at the bar where the fishermen have their lunch – the sweetest and freshest prawns, fried fresh anchovies – delicious. The nearby Port Duquesa was a great and lively place to go for evening drinks and a stroll, with plenty of restaurant and bar options nearby in other areas.
Being a group of animal lovers, we found out about a local dog rescue home up in the mountains behind the Estepona – we visited the rescue home on two mornings and took a few happy dogs out for long walks in the mountains and spent some time talking to the volunteers at the home.
Our days spent at the Villa were very relaxing in the beautiful quiet of the area – the pool was a little too cold to go into due to the time of year, but the sun shone and it was relaxing sitting in the warmth, reading and listening to music during the day.
Towards the end of our stay we went to nearby Marbella in the evening and enjoyed a walk along the front and a drink and tapas in the beautiful old town.
We found the Villa to be very clean, comfortable, well equipped and with plenty of space. All in all, an enjoyable place to stay in an interesting area – we would definitely make a return visit, summer or winter time.
