An Italian gem

5 of 5
I booked a week at this fantastic apartment in Italy, the apartment was vey clean (spotless), the apartment was open plan which was perfect for my family. The lounge had a sliding patio door which lead out onto a balcony with a beautiful sea view were we eat our breakfast on every day. The master bedroom consisted of the same view and was decorated to a high standard. The second bedroom had two twin beds and a great view also. The apartment had two bathroom which is very handy when traveling with two children's. The kitchen was well equipped to a high standard which included a dishwasher, The apartment also included a washing machine. The apartment had a TV and DVD player. The location was perfected with local shop on the door step, and the beach was two mintues walk. You have the new town which is a ten mintues walk and the old town which has got an authentic style and feel., The train/tube is a 10 mintues walk from the the apartment with a regular service to various destination, Central Rome was 50 minutes journey away. The cost is very cheap to go to Central Rome and the journey very pleasant. The owners also left a folder which was full of usefu information that contributed to me finding various location. I stay was amazing and have booked a week for 2015. This place is perfect for families with small children very child friendly.

A wonderful stay in Ariccia!

5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner, Guiseppe was very welcoming, and the place was very clean and well furnished. The front yard was enjoyable to sit in the sun. I love to cook, and the kitchen was well furnished. We were suprised to find that Lake Albano and Castelgandolfo was very near, and the sea was a short drive away. We took several local trips, and the train station was very near for our trips to Rome. We were going to stay two nights in Rome as we had tickets to the Papal audience, and Guisppe insisted on taking us to the train station and picked us up in the evening two days later so that our car would not have to stay in the station parking lot overnight. When we left, they gave us a lovely assortment of local bakery items. Ariccia is well known for their Porketta, and there is a row of several restaurants by the large bridge where you can enjoy that speciality, and of course gelato! I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Bracciano, our home away from home.

5 of 5
It is said you can never go back. For ten days at the beginning of October 2014 my husband, son and I did just that. We returned to 'our' beloved apartment in the historic section of Bracciano and experienced coming home in every way. Having spent 8 months here in '79-'80 and after I wrote about our adventures in a book, 'Letters from Italy', we were drawn back. The Lago, our friends and the people of this bustling town, the castle and the countryside were once again ours to enjoy from our windows and by stepping out our door. Bracciano is a special place and we relished every minute, in the numerous restaurants, bars, the daily Passegiata, the easy trips into Rome and the other lakeside villages. Coming back to número 18 Via della Collegiata every evening was the icing on our 10-day cake!
