THE best place to stay in THE NORTH

5 of 5
We have stayed at The Holcott at The Heights for the last 4 years, ie every year since 2010 in a January through to February - a real testimony to its beauty in all respects (we are very picky). This was a real discovery after staying for 10 years in the South and just visiting the North of the island on day trips. What a gem of a place this is; friendly owners, amazing location with views of the stunning Grenadines, delicious meals courtesy of the lovely DJ, gorgeous comfortable cottage with everything you need (high quality bedding so welcome), lots to see and do in the area and everyone is so friendly and helpful. The guest book bears testimony to the hosts Harriet and DJ and the efforts they put in to ensure you always have the holiday you wish for the most. We can't bear the thought of not spending time at The Holcott each winter! Our favourite things to do are: breakfast on the balcony soaking up the view, watching the pelicans from David's Bay, walking the beach to Sauteurs, evening meal at The Heights with DJ's rum punch and Harriett’s sorrel drink, Harriet's packed lunch for trips to Sandy Island, afternoons on the veranda reading our books, Sundays at Bathway Beach listening to the Reggae bands and eating at Aggie's or Elo's, buying chocolate (which doesn't melt in the heat) at Belmont Plantation, especially the rum truffles, discovering roads we have not driven on before! We could go on and on ....... We strongly recommend you go and try this truly unique experience, be warned you will want to return. Diana and Malcolm Wetherell Terry, North Yorkshire, England

Great place to stay!!!!!

5 of 5
I stayed solo at Sueno for a week. It was wonderful! The peace and the beautiful and compelling roar of the ocean was perfect. The trees and flowering shrubs were larger than in the pictures, and enhanced the property. Everything was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Allyson had kindly purchased some pantry starters for me. DJ and Harriet at nearby "The Heights" restaurant delivered my first meal, hosted me again with their "welcome home" style, and introduced me to some new friends who are living in the area.. Everything available at Sauters, and lots to explore and do if wanted, or just walk the beach and chill out. Lavera Beach is absolutely gorgeous! Petit Anse restaurant is nearby. Everyone is so very welcoming and friendly, a great place to stay, and a great unspoiled area. I recommend it highly for people who like an authentic experience off the regular tourist route.

A sublime setting for a relaxing stay

4 of 5
We had a most enjoyable stay in the cottage during February. It was every bit as enticing as it looks in the photographs. Sauteurs is not for those who seek bright lights and sophisticated entertainment, but Blue Paradise is an ideal base for relaxing, exploring and absorbing the very friendly local atmosphere. The beach and the plunge pool provide an ideal end to a day’s exertions. The cottage was clean and plenty big enough for us and could easily have coped with another couple as well. With its views over to the Grenadines, the veranda is a spectacular location to discuss the plans for the day ahead over breakfast and consider ideas for tomorrow with a glass in hand. Although the local buses can get you almost anywhere a car provides flexibility (and helps with the shopping!). There are only a handful of places to eat after sunset: the kitchen can easily cope with supper. Tired of cooking, Sonia will act as chef and cook up some local dishes. She and Allyson are also at the end of a phone if anything untoward happens.
