Vamos Holiday

4 of 5
Great holiday, made even better by the surroundings and house. However, if you are looking for a lively resort, this isn't the place for you. The village is quiet and off the beaten track but does boast 3 very good tavernas, cafes, small general stores, hairdresser and a wonderful bakery with fresh bread daily. Also a tourist information centre all within walking distance of the house. There are some good walks in and around the village, some of which are guided by a local and regular bus services if you wish to go further afield. The house itself is a renovated stone building which has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of outside space for eating al fresco including a roof terrace which has spectacular views of the mountains. It was very well equipped with cooking facilities etc and very comfortable. A car would be useful if you wish to travel more but we, two 60+ females managed perfectly well without by walking and using buses, taxes etc. I would happily go back for another stay.
