A great base for exploring the Napflio area

4 of 5
We had a very good week in one of the one bedroom flats. The view from the balcony is amazing and it was a great place to have breakfast (wonderful pastries bought in the local bakery). The flat is small but the weather was great so we were out and about most of the time and didn't get under each other's feet. It was lovely to be able to walk down the steps and straight into the sea for a swim. The accommodation was clean but basic. We didn't meet Christos but his mother was there to meet us. She was very kind and helpful and speaks good French but not much English. Nafplio is about 25 minutes' drive away and there is plenty to see there and interesting places to eat. We visited Mycenae, Epidauros, Argos and Tiryns, all within an hour's drive, and Corinth on the way back to the airport, all marvellous classical sites. My only criticism was the lack of visitor information provided. It would be good to have a list of facilities in Kiveri and Nafplio, the local doctor and dentist's numbers in case of emergencies and information about buses, taxis and local tourist attractions. I would recommend this accommodation to a friend, provided they had a car and could cope with steep steps.

Wonderfull stay in Kiveri

5 of 5
We had a wonderfull stay in the waterfront appartment and enjoyed also Kiveri, the little charming village with perfect bathing possibilities. The water is fantastic. We traded in the fantastic bakery og the other shops. You must also visit Naflio! We enjoyed our waterfront terrace very much. We think, that better view would not be found. It was our second stay ang we come back.

The apartment and the area has everything

5 of 5
We experienced great service from Ed & Gabi from the word go. They provided timely & helpful responses to my communication before our stay. Ed kindly came to Lepreo when we missed the turn off to the apartment and guided us back in & was actually waiting for our call. The property is much larger than anticipated from the photos and really well stocked with everything we could need for a self catering holiday. We spent a lot of time looking out at the wonderful views from the balcony or relaxing in the main living area which has games, books, TV, DVD etc. The wifi signal was strong and we had no problems with it. The location is secluded, but not isolated. Our natural preference is to walk places. Because the apartment is up quite high it makes more sense to drive to a place. Particularly the beaches or shops which are a 20 min drive away. The drive up to the apartment is steep & on a dirt road - this is Greece! But it is easy to get used to. We drove a 1.4 VW Polo and she did it without issue. The remote location makes for a really beautiful gem of a vacation! There is so much to do in the little written about Neda Valley. There are, of course, the beaches. Pick one any one and you'll find ample space whilst not feeling completely alone. Most of the beaches have a cafe & there are municipal showers for removing sand when coming off the beach. The beaches are sandy with a pebbly shelf as you enter the water which then returns to sand again. It is shallow water for a long way out to sea. Some days it is windy so there are a lot of waves which is perfect if you have a body board! Usually followed by very calm, mill pond like days. Zacharo is the closest town with lots of lovely tavernas and amenities. There is also the village of Lepreo which is much smaller. Lepreo is the first village you will find driving into the mountains to experience the Neda Valley. This is a wonderful alternative to beach days or something to do in the afternoon in an AC car when it is too hot & people are enjoying siesta. Going into the mountains it is much cooler & the diverse flower and fauna reveal themselves. Watch out for tortoises crossing the road! At Figalia it is possible to drive over the river and then down a dirt road to a car park to follow a lovely trail for 20 mins and see a waterfall. I will certainly recommend Villa Elleftheria and the Neda Valley area to my friends
