We loved our time in Studio Sophia. We hired a car in Heraklion and drove the hour and a half to Sfaka. It was beautiful and peaceful.
Sfaka is a small village with a shop that's open morning and night - the lady sells everything - including fresh bread.
Terry and Danny were extremely helpful from the get go. Always quick to answer emails and willing to chat on the phone if any point needed to be clarified.
Their knowledge of the island was priceless. From the best place to snorkel to the best restaurant. They never put us wrong.
Parking was never a problem.
The kitchen was fully stock with kitchen ware. From big pots, toaster, microwave, jug to French press - they have it all.
They also have a great library and a few board games.
Sitting out on the massive deck looking out at the hills with a beer after a full days fun equals heaven.
I would highly recommend Studio Sophia to anyone heading to Crete.
And once again I can't praise Terry and Danny for their hospitality - they have the perfect equilibrium of not being intrusive and letting you get on with relaxing and being there if you need to ask them their advice on the best beach that's close by. They even brought us fresh grapes in the morning.
