Relaxed and welcoming - a perfect stay!

5 of 5
Myself, my husband and our 14 month old daughter travelled to the Loire Valley for our first family holiday. We received a fantastically warm welcome from Johan, and were shown to our gite for the week. Inside the gite was beautifully restored and well-maintained. We had everything we needed for the week, and additional facilities such as a washing machine were just a few steps away from the gite. Johan and Juul had also kindly provided baby equipment such as a highchair and buggy. While the gite was everything we hoped for, it was the outside space that really made our holiday for us. Our daughter had just started to walk, and the grounds provided a safe space for her to explore, and we enjoyed making use of the heated outdoor pool. The rural setting, the fruit trees and hammocks all contributed to a lovely sense of calm that helped us relax and get into the holiday spirit as soon as we arrived. Johan was always on hand to help or advise should we need it, and one of the highlights of the trip was his pizza night, making and baking our own pizzas in his restored bread oven. All in all, a great stay and one that we would highly recommend.

Family of 5 , in the Rose Villa

5 of 5
It was a very peaceful and relaxing holiday, especially been with my 6 month old sister. The holiday was very nice and easy as the owners offered us lots of staff for the baby –chair for the table, push chair for walking her out, baby bed. The pool was very warm and clean and in the perfect temperature. The area surrounding L'Isle is very nice and ideal for cycling (the bicycles provided for free from the owners) as it gives a very smooth pavements and roads to cycle on! That we did and loved a lot! One day in the week we would make our own delicious pizza in the wooden fire made from the owners and eat by the bonfire. Other evening we were watching the stars, playing on the guitars and my parents drinking wine from the cellar of the owners. That they did a lot, too. From Jan, 14 year old, the middle son. The time past in very relaxed and lazy manner and we had great memories form the place. Highly recommended and I will love to be there one more time, again. From Deyan ,The father

Family Holiday - 2013

5 of 5
We have just spent our summer holiday this year with friends staying at Les veslueres. The farmhouse accommodated our two families (8 people) with ease. It is extremely well equipped with clear instructions as where everything is plus lots of other useful information and recommendations for places to visit and eat out. As the weather was so good we all made great use of the fantastic pool and ate outside each evening. A visit to St. Suzanne is a must, a beautiful medieval village not too far away. Also the Old Town of Le Mans is stunning with its breath taking cathedral. The local shop keepers were more than helpful and do stock most of your essentials, though beware they do close between 11am and 3pm. We ate out at the local restaurant in St Denis, it is a little on the expensive side but well worth it, and its a great opportunity to practice your french as the owners do not speak any english. There is an abundance of local wildlife, water hens and coypu on the pond, frogs, foxes, bats, owls and buzzards were just some of what we saw during our stay We have had a fantastic holiday in a beautiful part of France in a wonderfully restored farmhouse, everything we could have hoped for and more. Booking was so easy and the owners most helpful and informative. The directions on how to find Les Veslueres were very clear and accurate. If you are considering a holiday here do not hesitate.
