A fantastic place to stay

5 of 5
We spent a week here in early September with friends and family and booked Ecurie and Aragon. Jenny and Jacques were the great hosts and the place was perfect for our needs. We had three small children with us and they loved the animals, playground and swimming pool. It felt very safe for them. There are plenty of things to do within a short driving distance, Dinan, the port of Dinan, Dinard and the beaches are all fab, the local chateau/zoo is a great day out with the kids and Le Col Vert is a must visit restaurant. We loved it so much that we have already booked our return trip next year.

Memorable week - super cottage - perfect location

5 of 5
Thank you, Celia, for your warm welcome and excellent directions from Roscoff to Pluherlin. We were an Irish couple bringing good Australian friends to France on their first visit and they were most impressed! The cottage was just what we needed - perfectly located, comfortable, clean, and very well equipped. A few minutes walk to the delightful village of Pluherlin. found a small, well stocked supermarket, a butcher, and a wonderful boulangerie/patisserie - excellent croissants for breakfast - but do get there early! There is also a restaurant in the hotel, where we again received a warm welcome and a wonderful dinner using fresh local produce. We visited Roche Bernard en route to Vannes - both well worth seeing. We spent some time too at Carnac, with its menhirs, which were particularly fascinating to our Australians. Josselin, with its imposing chateau, too was well worth visiting, passing through Malestroit which is beautiful. Rochefort en terre - which was an easy walk from the cottage - is charming - and its chateau and gardens especially delightful. We were made welcome wherever we went, and managed to improve our somewhat rusty French along the way! And we even joined in an evening of Breton dancing in the village on one occasion!! It was a very special week and we would hope to visit again.

Christmas in France

5 of 5
We were looking for a Christmas in winter as we are Australian. The barn that we stayed in was perfect. It was just like the site says. Celia was very helpful, friendly but not intrusive. When we had friends come to visit from England she accommodated them with no fuss. Also when the heating broke she had it fixed immediately. She made sure the phone call was responded to and gave us a heater while waiting for ours to be fixed. All with no fuss. The village or Pluherlin was very friendly with all that we needed for our day to day living. The villagers chatted to me when I was out walking and were patient with my limited French. The Supermarket and butcher were very friendly in the town. The town of Rochfort-en-terre was magical at Christmas and the people there were very nice. We ate at the Café de puis about three to four times and were always welcomed. The atmosphere was warm, the service efficient and Francois made us feel at home and was helpful with the French menu. I would thoroughly recommend the cottage and the area.
