Fabulous weekend, fabulous weather, fabulous setting, fabulous food & wine, & fabulous company!!! Everybody had a lovely time all round.
We had a big aperifif dinatoire (hors d'oeuves) Friday evening, everyone brought along their own aperitif specialities: which was great fun!
Saturday morning,the boys had Oysters & white wine on the terrace in full shunshine; then off we went to Beaune market & lunch in a bistro. Late afternoon -relaxing at the chateau.
Saturday evening, BourgogneMaison (the management Co) had fabulously orgnanised and co-ordinated our private dinner - chef & owner of HUEZ Olivier (very agreeable guy) was ours for the night with server who was discreet & very pleasant. Aperitif was served in the lounge in front of the fire at 20h, dinner in the dining room around 21h - The food was exceptional, each course was presented by the chef upon serving, and very reasonabley priced. Kitchen was all cleared up dishes/glasses all taken care of.A BIG SUCCESS & one of the high points of the weekend!!
To let you know, It was 65 euros a head for aperitif, dinner, service bread & water included. Amazing to have such good food, 'sur place' no one needing to drive and allowed you to enjoy the 'cadre' of the chateau. Hat of to BourgogneMaison - they really do know the area well and have great contacts!
After dinner splash in the hot tub with Champagne...ummm.
Sunday morning, bike ride through the vineyards & villages, we ended up in Beaune for 12 noon - brasserie Carnot for ice cold bottle of Saint Veran & seafood!
We then had to peddle the 15kms back!!! Lazy lunch at chateau, clean up & home time thereafter...All good things come to an end!
We ALL had a really relaxing weekend and everyone was very impressed with the property & your beautiful renovation.
Definetly, it's a 'to do again' even if we were just 2/3 couples for a quick last minute weekend.
A very good experience from start to finish and no problems at all with the team at BourgogneMaison-they're fab! and contrary to the previous comment - all fees are explained upon reservation.
