Toddler Holiday Heaven!!

5 of 5
We stayed at Villa Dorothy in April this year with my husband and our extremely lively 14 month old. This was our first ever family holiday away and it couldn't have been any easier or better for that matter! Villa has everything you need in perfect working order - high chair, changing mat, baby monitor, stair gates. They do go an extra mile by creating gated off areas so your toddlers can go in and out as much as they please. This was a highlight for our little troublemaker. He loved nipping into his playhouse and back out again. Having that freedom to relax while your toddler is in front of you and safely occupied with loads of toys (good quality ones) makes for the perfect relaxing trip. Area is extremely baby friendly and there are loads of lovely beaches around. We hired a car and went down to Aiya Napa for the day so that was fun. I would highly recommend this villa company, they are honest, quick and really customer focused. The facilities are outstanding and service is superb. We had such a relaxing time away. Can't wait to book for next year!

Ideal for the beach, lovely house with pool .

5 of 5
We spent a week here and really found what we were looking for. We didn't hire a car and used the taxi service offered with the property which was excellent. We went everywhere by bus as its only €1.50 for how ever far you go on the 101 and 102 buses. The property was exactly as described and there was a welcome pack in the fridge with bread, milk, butter and jam, tea and coffee were there too and saved having to buy them on arrival day. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the lovely Kalamies beach, which was quieter and nicer than Sunshine beach and Fig tree bay. The pool in the garden was cleaned twice a week and I managed two swims ,it was a bit cold in the first week of May ! The agents Jan and Sue met us as arranged at 9.30 the next morning and answered any questions we had. The house was very clean and nicely furnished. They also turned up promptly to meet us on the day we left and helped us to leave our cases in another house so we could go to the beach for the day and come back and get changed as our flight wasn't until the evening. There are two small shops in easy walking distance for bread and milk etc and the Pinia restaurant on the road to the beach always served lovely food. I found the double bed too hard for my back so slept in the twin bed room where one of the beds had a lovely mattress topping ! The air con was fine although so early in the year that we only used it once. Would recommend the house for couples or families with children. If you want a quiet time away from the touristy bits in Protaras. Pernera itself has a good mix of restaurants all within walking distance. We were recommended the Kama restaurant at the top of the road and had a great Sunday lunch there for €8.50 each but you need to book as it is so popular. At the beach there is a lovely blue and white chapel, we saw at least three weddings there in a week ! To the left as you come down to the beach go down some steps on the left and there is the Paralimni fishing shelter, we went here every evening for a drink and sat and watched the fishing boats and motor boats being moored for the night, it's just a simple bar and has good toilets. Great views. The Kalamies restaurant, the big white restaurant at the other end of the bay does really great fresh fish and everything else. You can sit over looking the bay at night with all the sparkley lights. We caught the bus to Cape Gkrecko and had a lovely walk with breath taking views. Had a great week!

Great property inside and out. Cold pool.

Amani villa is a perfect layout for holidaying, with a single large open plan diner/kitchen/lounge, which opens out onto the pool area. This is ideal as everyone is effectively together all the time; no one stuck out of the way in a separate kitchen. The villa is very well appointed, with large comfy beds and quality furnishings. The location is good too, close to supermarkets, as well as touristy Protaras and Agia Napa. You must have a car though, as there really is nothing within a 40minute walking radius. The selling agent Millbrooke, as well as the managers in Cyprus were very friendly, useful and responsive. A couple of downsides for us were: 1. We travelled in shoulder season, October, so a primary reason for choosing this villa was that it was advertised as having a heated pool. Unfortunately this isn’t entirely true. The heating is a passive solar heating, rather than an active/powered heating. Despite full sun most days, the pool at this time of year was very cold, significantly lower than the sea which was lovely by the way. The kids still went in the pool a few times a day, but they literally had to come out with blue lips after 30mins. Adults went in once and never again. We stay in Cyprus a lot in October and always choose a heated pool, so it was a disappointment to discover this was not proper heating. This obviously isn’t much of an issue in the height of summer. 2. No Wifi/internet. It’s a shame that a villa so highly spec’d in furnishings, TVs, consoles etc doesn’t have internet. In this day, I see it as a must in a holiday villa for things like being able to check opening times, directions, restaurants etc. 3. Showers were great pressure and temperature for an individual, but the water pressure prevented more than one shower at once, so for a large capacity family like ours, it makes shower time quite prolonged. Overall I would recommend this villa, but would not go again outside full summer due to unheated pool.
