Fantastic villa - gorgeous stay and will be back

5 of 5
Booking a Easter holiday in April 2015, I wanted to find somewhere relaxing and easy to book and stay whilst in Cyprus - we definitely found this in the villa and adored the holiday. After looking through the pictures of the villa in Paphos and making enquiries, we were very happy with how easy it was to book in to the villa and got quick responses from the owner. The villa has lovely high ceilings and big light and large rooms, it is perfect to be cool during the day and has perfect sea views which are undisturbed. We were a group of friends going for an Easter break, I would also recommend this villa for a family or social group as it is a perfect size and also situated in a very safe and calm area. The villa was spotless and also had a lovely gesture of welcome fruit and wine for us - definitely a treat after the flight! The bedrooms were decorated nicely and were all very clean, modern and spacious. Beds were very comfy and bathrooms were very clean and large, a powerful shower was great for all of us after being at the pool! The kitchen has modern white goods and the villa has wifi and a smart TV - both making the stay easy and relaxing for us. We used the BBQ nearly every night and the large balcony is the BEST bit for us as we enjoyed lots of afternoon drinks and meals there - this is lots of fun and such a sun trap for the villa. It has a spacious living area and balcony so this meant we could eat and relax inside or out. The location is stunning and you can walk to Paphos town and harbour quite easily along the coast, there is also a good bus service. We hired a car which was great as we could explore the island and really enjoyed visiting Lara Beach and the Akamas peninsula which is stunning and you can spot turtles in season (we didn't at that time of year!) or follow a 4x4 route which is really secluded. It is nice to be out of the town and in a calm and beautiful area, we never had any noises at night and we got to watch the sunset each evening which was really special. We used the pool lots, it is clean and really idyllic with a sea view and sun loungers - as we didnt want to go to the beach every day this was where we spent most of our time during the week there. To sum up, fantastic stay and very much surprised by how large and lovely the villa was. There was 4 of us on this trip but we had spare rooms and 6-8 people would work. #it would be definitely somewhere I would pick again when coming back to Cyprus.

Fantastic accommodation and owners

5 of 5
July 2014 - family of 5. 3 en-suite double bedrooms. Good pool. Good sized, shaded and sun-bathing outdoor area. Very clean. Great facilities. Owners extremely helpful and accommodating - both in advance of arrival, and during our stay. One-to-one contact with owner, who couldn't do enough to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Even, to the extent of providing home baking. They also provided a welcome pack including cereals, water, fruit, condiments, cleaning supplies, etc. Location is between Paphos and Coral Bay, with a short bus ride to both, where there are plenty bars and restaurants. Buses every 15 mins in both directions. Bus stop only 5-minute walk from the villa.

Villa Helena - Chlorakas

5 of 5
This villa is everything it promised to be -- it is spacious, spotlessly clean & very well-equipped. We would especially recommend the villa to travellers in our own situation -- seeking some end-of-season sun, enjoying both comfort and peace & quiet. We particularly appreciated the firm mattresses. The complex (only about 15 villas) is well-maintained & was very quiet when we visited (we often had sole use of the communal pool). The only negative about the villa was the non-availability of a WiFi password -- a little frustrating when we could see the router flashing whilst we were struggling with a flaky 3G signal. Finally, whilst the "car not necessary" tag is accurate, we think that it should be pointed out that there is only one restaurant within 10 mins walk (Pentares) & no supermarket within walking distance. The nearest decent shop (confusingly called a supermarket, but a corner shop by UK standards) is J&R, and is 15-20 mins walk away. That said, there is an excellent frequent & cheap bus service into both Paphos & Coral Bay, & the harbour area of the former is well worth a visit.
