Perfect apartment for lovely holiday.

5 of 5
We had an absolutely lovely stay in the apartment. Three lovely bedrooms - one of which had a great ensuite. Bed linen and towels were provided which saved lots of suitcase space. There were lovely outside tables in a shady garden that wasn't overlooked by the other apartments. Three steps down and you are down by a pool with a jacuzzi bit too. The beach was just across the beach and was beautiful and really quiet. Lawson organised taxis for our arrival and met us to give us keys which was great. He helped us find a dive company and hire a car. The supermarket is a 5 min walk down the road and has most essentials or you can get the bus to a bigger supermarket in holetown very easily. We really were delighted with our stay - the rest of the family kept coming to visit us as they liked it so much!

Escapism at its best!

5 of 5
This was the 3rd year in a row we have chosen to stay at Ocean Blue and we have already booked for next year which will be our 4th stay in this property for a period of 3 weeks each time! Everything about the property is just wonderful from mine hosts John & Janice to the wonderful house keeper Lyn who keeps the apartment immaculately clean at all times regularly changing the bedding and both bath and beach towels and generally pleased to facilitate any request including laundry which is a god send! We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough the setting is superb and many an evening is just spent "Chill axing" on the balcony or small beach inlet, watching the sun set and the ships pass by with either a Banks or Mount Gay to hand! Just a few minutes drive or bus ride in either direction will get you to Bridgetown or Holetown and for a real Barbadian beach bar drive a few minutes more past Holetown to "Ju Ju's" beach bar by the Lone Star restaurant and you feel you really have arrived! This review has been easy to write and we can assure you that once visited you will want to return as we have, it really does provide you with the most fantastic place to stay at a very reasonable cost! We could wax lyrical all day, but we would simply say, try it for yourselves and you will definitely not want to stay anywhere else unless the lottery comes up and then "No.1 Sand Lane" would be a possible choice, but just not the same! Wonderful stay at Ocean Blues

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed in the Downstairs Studio at Ocean Blues in April 2011, to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We had an excellent time. The studio itself is lovely. Everything is fashioned out of the white stone and it has great charm. Huge comfy bed, ample bathroom and cute kitchen to make brekfast etc. Then you have 2 double doors that open on to a lovely balcony, overlooking the wonderful Batts Rock Beach and Caribbean Sea. Waking up to that every morning was amazing. The room was clean and well maintained. The house itself is located perfectly on the West Coast, on a main road, but noise is minimal. Lynn was a lovely caretaker and catered for our every need. We hired a jeep for the day and explored the island, so easy to do. All the West Coast restaurants are easily reached by the local buses, and they are so easy to take. A real experience. We loved having our own private access to the sea below, that was very special for quick dips when it got too hot or a lovely morning / evening swim. We also swam with the resident baby turtle a few times, which was stunning. Snorkelling was good around the local rocks. The only thing I would say is that the sun deck may get crowded when the house and studios are full. Luckily we only had 2 other people there during our stay, we it was relatively private. The plunge pool was lovely and gives great views. We also had a nice BBQ on the deck one night. We would stay at Ocean Blues again. Its a unique setting, right on the water, and we loved our stay Thanks again David and Sheila
