Sliema has some interesting sites and building worth visiting such as the fortifications, one of which dates back to the 17th century. There are some attractive church buildings here too including the Stella Maris Church and The Chapel of our Lady of Graces. A ferry service operates between Sliema and Valletta across Marsamxett harbour.
