San Teodoro has become one of Sardinia’s favourite holiday resorts, emerging from the Mediterranean scrub, the town boasts an incredible 18 white sand beaches, many of which can only be reached on foot. The beach life is a major part of life in San Teodoro, with countless bays and inlets lined with fine white sand. The most famous beach in San Teodoro, La Cinta, is one of the most popular in the whole of Sardinia, with fantastic facilities for safe family beach holidays. The nightlife in San Teodoro is known to be some of the best nightlife anywhere in the north west of Sardinia. The youthful atmosphere within San Teodoro means that the bars and clubs are always fun, and San Teodoro has managed to lure two of the largest discos in Sardinia. There are many fine restaurants within the town too, serving a huge variety of international and local cuisine.
Not far from San Teodoro is the quaint seaside resort of Budoni, with ‘Caribbean’ style beaches, glorious natural surroundings and great surfing possibilities. Budoni is also home to the most impressive and tourist marina in Sardinia, making the first stop for water sports enthusiasts.
Summers in San Teodoro are an absolute delight. During June, July and August, daily temperatures can be almost guaranteed to be over 35°C, with cooling breezes sweeping in off the sea keeping the air blissfully fresh and crisp. Sea temperatures are also remarkably warm during the summer months, meaning it may be hard forcing yourself to return to your San Teodoro holiday rental at the end of the day.
