The open countryside around Rolling Hills is a haven of activity too. There are many miles of walking, cycling and horse riding trails throughout the countryside. You can even wrestle an alligator at Gator Land, or even go fan boating alongside them on the Boggy Creek. Lake Kissimmee and the surrounding creeks are perfect for fishing too.
If the heat of the summer means that the allure of the Atlantic coast can become too much! Located just under an hour from the Atlantic beaches of Florida, a Rolling Hills villa is easily within reach if you have access to a car, and the trip is well worth it. Cocoa Beach is one of the finest in the area, although competition is extremely high. Sailing, fishing and a whole range of water sports are available from Cocoa Beach, providing many hours of entertainment.
Florida’s reputation as a year round resort is well deserved. Throughout the year, average monthly temperatures never dip below 20˚C, meaning that you hardly need pack a jumper as you prepare to take your Rolling Hills holiday. During the summer months, temperatures never become too hot, remaining below 40˚C for the vast majority of the time.
When holidaying in Florida, taking a hire car is highly recommended, as public transport is minimal and distances are great. Orlando International Airport (MCO), which receives regular, direct flights from the UK, is an hour from Rolling Hills, which is a very pleasant drive. British Airways and Virgin Atlantic both provide cheap flights to Rolling Hills, mainly leaving from London.
