Officially the hurricane season extends from June to November, but years may pass without this area being impacted by hurricanes. Rainfall is spread fairly evenly throughout the year with the wettest months usually August and September with 6 to 6.5 inches per month.
Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Virginia is approximately two hours and 20 minute’s drive from Rodanthe.
