Spectacular villa - beautiful pool
We had a fantastic week at Casa Linda, Frank and Linda are super friendly and provided excellent customer service.
The villa itself is great and the pool area is beautiful and not overlooked. The villa has two BBQ areas and veranda for dining in the evening.
Inside the villa is immaculate and clean with lovely bathrooms and a lounge area with Wii, DVDs and games.
In walkable distance there are a handful of restaurants but it's an easy 5 euro taxi to Carvoeiro centre for more resturants and a few bars. The Saloon Bar offers a friendly karaoke night!
Onze restaurant, rated 2nd in Carvoeiro on TripAdvisor, on Rampa Senhora da Encarnação is probably worth a look. We went to a Tapas restaurant that was 2 doors down which served fabulous food with excellent service.
A car is essential for visiting local towns such as Silves and Lagos. Casa Linda is in a very quiet neighbourhood and you really need a car to venture out in the evening to anything remotely busy. However, the small beach that is a 10 min walk from the villa is a little gem. There is a small simple pizzeria (called '0 stop') with sunset veranda overlooking the cove for beers and cocktails in the evening.
Slide & Splash waterpark is a 5 minute drive and is excellent. There is an Intermarche and an Aldi a 3 minute drive from the villa for provisions.
Overall the villa could not be improved, it is 5 star and the pool is magnificent. The location is very quiet, a lovely beach and a couple of restuarants are walkable but you'll need to taxi / drive in order to enjoy finer restaurants or the night life of Carvoeiro.
Thanks to Linda & Frank, we hope to be back to try out the local golf courses in the future.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this villa for two weeks in beginning April. We have rented apartments and home for the past 15 years in Europe and this place is the best and the cleanest we ever had. The area and the villa are very quiet. The neighbors cannot see the pool area so it is very private. The pool itself is quite large for a private pool. Rooms and living area are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There was only the two of us but you can bring a large family and still be very comfortable. We eat out at lunch time but cook most of our dinners and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything needed. The garden area is large and very well maintained. As spring came late this year in Algarve, most of the flowers were not in bloom yet. I used the Internet with my smart phone and laptop and the connection is stable and fast. I could use my laptop outside and the connection was still good. There is a large supermarket about two kilometers north of the villa (Intermarché) but we preferred the fish market of the municipal Mercado in Portimao. Carvoiero is a short drive away and has a nice beach and quite a few nice restaurants. We had lunch at ONZE and it was very good. Linda was very helpful before and during our stay providing good information on the area. Overall we highly recommend this villa if you want to relax or visit the area or both and are seriously thinking of a return visit next year at the same period.

A great place to relax
We stayed for two weeks in late August and could not have been happier. The villa is one of the best we have ever rented (of the standard you often find in Florida but rarely in Europe). The pool is a delight and not overlooked, set in large gardens which means neighbours are set back.
We have two teenage boys who both surfed the web from their laptops - easy to connect and fast (a must for teenagers these days). The villa is very well equipped with everything you need. The pool can be heated for an additional charge but that depends on your preference. Plenty of chairs and sunbeds and space to lose yourself in a book or an iPod selection. The bathrooms are large, beautifully clean and have that new feel.
Linda was a delight to communicate with beforehand and called to ensure we were happy whilst there. The management company also dropped by to check we were OK and recommended restaurants etc.
You need to drive to central Carveiro as its a fair walk but there's a good choice of eating places within walking distance. Julios is not cheap but excellent quality and ambience. There's also more rustic / traditional places, a couple of pizza houses and family restaurants.
A large supermarket is a 5 min drive if you want to stock up.
Recommended for families and anyone wanting either a completing relaxing holiday (we loved the place so much we all kept voting for 'lazy days' doing nothing!) or to visit and explore. A wonderful rental which we have already booked for next year - can't say better than that.

Summer 2012
My husband and my 5 year old daughter have just come back from a week at Casa Linda. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recomment it. The property was lovely, very spacious and well equipped with everything you need.
The pool was great, we could not get out 5 year old out of it all week. We did not pay the extra to have it heated which was fine (just about) at that time of year. We also did not pay for the air conditioning and we had around 30 degree heat and we found it fine, the property is quite cool inside.
The number of outside sitting/eating areas is fantastic, a really well designed villa. Location was good, definitely need a car though. The carport at the side of the property was a god send in the heat.
Overall extremely impressed and would recomment to anyone for a relaxing holiday.

Fabulous family holiday

Sorry our review is so late in coming. We experienced a fantastic family holiday in your villa. Linda was super efficient in every detail. We decided to take up Linda's suggestion of taxi transfers and a car delivered to us at the villa. This worked perfectly for us travelling with three children and Linda and Frank worked very hard to make it all happen for us. The villa is wonderful, spacious and very clean. It has such a homely feel and we were all able to relax straight away. The photographs do not really do the place justice, the living space and the bedrooms are perfectly placed and really comfortable. We actually had some late morning starts and a bit of peace from the children. The children loved the pool area and the pool heating worked perefctly for us as it was early in the year. We all love the area as it is has beautiful beaches, a range of lovely restaurants and is very quiet and relaxing. We would recommend your villa to our family and friends and we are hoping to return very soon to Caroeiro and to your villa.

Just what the doctor ordered
Our villa holiday certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Casa Linda was one of the best venues we have had the pleasure of staying at over the past twenty years of villa holidays, usually twice a year. It was particularly well suited for this break when we were accompanied by friends from Australia. The design gave each couple privacy and furnishings are excellent, a quiet location and plenty of space. The agent was very responsive and supportive and the back up from Linda much appreciated. We are seriously considering a return visit later in the year. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing and private break.

Fantastic villa for a family holiday
Casa Linda is an excellent villa in a quiet residential area just outside of Carvoeiro. It was an ideal base for our family (husband, wife and 2 teenage kids) holiday in the Algarve and its proximity (4 or so miles) to the motorway means the whole region is easily accessible. The villa was spacious, clean and well maintained, making it the perfect home from home. Add in the good sized swimming pool and surrounding terraces and you can't go wrong.
Carvoeiro is a lively resort with an extensive choice of restaurants and bars. There are also several quieter restaurants closer to the villa and we would particularly recommend the restaurant opposite the entrance to Rocha Brava.
The quality of the property meant we spent more time relaxing there than we had intended and so we didn't do all of the things we had intended to do during our fortnight stay. This, of course, means a return visit is on the cards in the not too distant future.
The owners, Linda and Frank, are a great couple, who made sure our stay went smoothly, without being obtrusive. This is a great quality as it must be difficult having strangers treating your lovely home as their own!
We had a great holiday and were sad when it was time to leave. We will definitely be recommending Casa Linda to our family and friends.

Wonderful Holiday
We have all had a wonderful holiday again in "Casa Linda".
We stayed here in 2008 and love the changes you have made. For us this is the perfect holiday villa. Once again we only left the villa for two days during our stay.
