I have recently returned from a city break for my 50th birthday with a group of friends. Getting to the apartment was easy. We caught the number 1 bus from the airport to Palma (I think it was 2 euros and a 10 minute transfer). The bus dropped us off just around the corner from the apartment. Unfortunately, all but one handle became detached from my cheap suitcase during the flight out and then the wheels droped off during the short walk to the apartment, so for our return journey, Robert called us a taxi. The apartment is well appointed and spacious. By opening the back and front windows you can get a nice breeze to blow through the apartment, we didn't need to use the air conditioning. There is a supermarket 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The beach is about 8 minutes away. We found a nice relaxing bar/restaurant down by the beach called El Molino (second bar down some steps to the left). The owners Danny and Charlottle are lovely and made us very welcome. We ended up there most days before a few hours on the beach, and invariably on our return to the apartment as well. Drinks in the city centre (like all cities and depending on the venue) can be expensive, so when we were all ready to go out, we'd have a couple of glasses of wine in the lounge, bathed by the breeze through the spectacular windows. The open top bus is only 15 euros for 24 hours and stops on the same road as the airport bus (look out for the bus stops with a red sign). It is a good way of getting your bearings around the city and takes you right up to the castle. Please note there is no cafe or drinks facilities at the castle, so make sure you take some water with you. The views from there are panoramic. As the city is so big and our feet seemed to swell up in our stilletos, we hailed taxis a lot. They aren't expensive, especially shared. There are some nice bars and restaurants down by the marina. However, a word of warning about the horse and carriages in the city centre. At first we were told it was 75 euros for half an hour - a lot more expensive than I anticipated it being. It's a long story, but a young lad came after us when we decided it was too much and took us for 40 euros. I can throughtly recomend Palma city for a holdiay. The apartment is well located for getting to and from the airport, getting to the beach and walking into the city centre. It was also reassuring to know that Robert was at the end of the phone if we had any problems.

We've just returned from a very pleasant long week-end in Palma. It was really handy to arrive and find everything we needed for our first night and also to have stocks of things like washing up liquid and toilet rolls - I wish every apartment owner would provide the same.

The apartment is in an excellent location with fantastic sea views. The bus from the airport stops literally just round the corner and only costs 2 euros per person.The old town with its narrow streets and lovely little squares is very easily reached on foot or you can head in the other direction and enjoy a leisurely walk past some of Palmas' pretty beaches.

James, the owner, was extremely helpful and was kind enough to allow our friends to stay later in the apartment when their flights were changed from the morning to late evening. They were thus able to enjoy their last day without worrying about where to keep their luggage.

So lovely city, great apartment and helpful owner - it really couldn't be better!

I have always toyed with idea to invite my wife, my two children and my grandchild on a holiday and finally we could combine our holidays together and look for a place that could match our expectations. Luckily my daughter
who lives in Scotland whereas we are living in Denmark found the webside for the apartment of James Rowe.
We had high expectations judged from the website, but we were all highly delighted and overjoyed with pleasure when living in the apartment and experience the functionality and the great location with a fantastic view so close to Palma city. We all had a fabulous holiday.
Everything was simply top-top and I shall not hessitate to recommend the
apartment to family and friends. It has even been advised to me that a refurbishment has currently been effected and an additional shower room in the main bed room added. In fact I am so pleased to say that my wife
and I have already rented the apartment this year again together with four adault friends and we are looking so much forward to inhabiting the apartment again and to meet with James Rowe, who is indeed a very pleasant person and a fantastic owner and supervisor for the apartment.
My rating for the apartment will best be expressedc as "Excellent ++".
I sincerely hope that many others will be luckily enough to have the supreme
pleasure of renting this apartment. It certainly deserves so.

We had a fantastic weekend and will definately recommend this apartment to friends. The apartment was spacious, clean and well maintained and in a great location for both the beach and the Cathedral. Thanks to James' directions we caught the bus from the airport and easily located the apartment. James met us there and gave us useful information about the area. The views from the apartment were lovely and the listing description was very accurate. We did find it expensive to drink in Palma so we recommend buying a bottle from the supermarket and enjoy the views from the lounge while having a few drinks before going out!

Great location, lovely apartment with fantastic views and a well equipped property. I would definitely recommend this apartment because it is conveniently located near to Palma and is close to a wide range of transport links to visit the rest of the island. We really enjoyed this apartment because it was lovely and quiet and you felt like you were living in the "real Mallorca" as opposed to a tourist hotel. We also enjoyed the spacious feeling of the accommodation and the closeness to child friendly amusements (beach, playground, cafes etc).

fantastic location , brilliant views ,good standard of accomodation. We enjoyed our short break . The property was clean and well maintained . we would definitely return to this apartment. Excellent value for money .

Just as described! The very friendly and helpful owner met us as promised and we had one of the best family holidays for some time (we have three young teenage kids). Wall to wall sunshine, great amenities and fantastic views to wake up to. There are some fab restaurants in the old town - try 'Almazara' in C/Vallseca only a year old an ryun by a lovely young couple - an unbelievable five courses for only 25 Euros! The satelite TV is tempremental but we hardly needed it, simply take a few DVD's with you for those off times you are in. Very clean and sheets and towels changed after one week. Beach 5-10 min walk. Try walking to the Hotel Portixol for a lovely lunch. Great sea-food. Take the little train to Soller and have lunch at the 5-star Gran Hotel (they let you use the roof-top pool and jacuzzi afterwards...best view from any pool you will ever get...surrounded by the mountains..and catch the 50 (yes 50!) Picasso ceramics in the little railway station for free! Lots of modern art - visit Es Baluard for great temprary installations as well as a great permanent modern Spanish collection. And for teenage fun...Aqualand is 15 mins away and we had a great time there too. Thank you James for a great holiday!

cannot recommend this apartment highly enough , excellent facilities . The block is very secure and quiet despite being in a excellent position for all the central sights .
