The most relaxing week I'd had in ages!
The most relaxing week I'd had in ages!

I enjoyed a familiy holiday at the house in May this year. The first things that struck me on arrival were the total peace and quiet, the lovely views and the clean, fragrant air.
The house itself is gorgeous; 'modern-oldy worldy' in style. It's split over two levels and has a really homely feel. Everywhere was clean, tidy and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and utensils, which was great because we spent the half the week cooking!
The pool is lovely and big enought to have a really good swim, though when we went in May, the water was very cold. The area around the pool is quite expansive with both shaded and sunny spots, so you can stay out of the sun if you need to. We had a BBQ by the pool one of the evenings which was lovely.
If you like architecture, you'll love it round here. the countryside is dotted with picturesque hamlets and walled towns with winding cobbled streets. There are lots of places to get great food and even though we cooked at home, we ate out a lot as well. This was my first time in italy and I hadn't realised how spectacular authentic Italian food really is.
Overall, it was a fantasic week for the whole family and we are planning to return in 2011.
