Great hospitality, view, and Ravello experience

Our family of 6 stayed in this wonderful flat for about a week in May of this year. Diego and his parents were extremely helpful in meeting us at the Ravello bus stop, helping us with schedules, internet, groceries, and even providing us with vegetables and wine daily from their own garden.We had no problem coordinating through Raffaela who was located in the UK at the time.
The house was immaculately clean and well supplied with towels, dishes, extra blankets, etc. We truly felt at home here and were able to genuinely relax after a hectic week of travel in Rome. Most of the time that we were in the flat was spent on the sun porch, which had an incredible view. We highly recommend staying with this wonderful family and will try to do so if we are in Ravello again!

just wanted to let you know that we had a great time in Ravello (and the rest of our trip in Italy), and really enjoyed staying in your
marvellous and very spacious house. It was a perfect base for our tours the Amalfi area, and a wonderful spot to relax in between outings. The view was even better than expected, and sunrises and the moon shining over the water were are added bonus. Your family were all very friendly and helpful, and really made us feel at home there.

Thanks again to the Amato family, from Raffaela in UK sorting arrangements, Simone for picking us up in Salerno, Diego on hand to help with internet, advice re local eateries etc and the lovely Mummy and Daddy Amato who are absolute sweethearts providing us with fantastic home made wine, home grown fruit and freshly made coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again despite the weather !! We feel blessed to have met you, You are a lovely warm generous family. Your apartment is spotlessly clean and has a view to die for, no picture can do it justice. We know we have found somewhere special here and wil be back again and will naturally recommend you. Our Beautiful Amalfi Cost Vacation

A lovely family owns this apartment. They couldn’t do enough for us. Bringing us vegetables, fruit and delicious wine. When we first arrived I was awed with the view and 3 weeks later I still felt the same way. Our beautiful apartment had stunning tile floors, gorgeous furniture in the large living/dining room and master bedroom. With tile bathrooms and spacious kitchen with table and chairs. Everything was spotlessly clean. The living/dining room and master bedroom have French doors to the balcony and the unbelievable view. The other bedroom has large windows with the same view. There is another small room – no view. The town of Ravello with all the restaurants, shops, lovely square and delightful people will make all the other towns 2nd choice. The beautiful views and gardens with take your breath away.
We did have to walk up many steps or a street to get to Ravello plaza. That part you need young lungs and legs.
For the last 10 years I have been renting apartments in Europe – none of them can compare to the wonderful Bellavista Holiday House in Ravello. It was brilliant!

Wanted to thank you and all your family for making our stay so pleasurable.
Your parents and Diego & Simone were perfect hosts and made us so welcome. The figs, tomatoes and wine were much appreciated, and we were so pleased to be able to thank them and get to know them better when they joined us for supper.
We are sure that some time soon we would like to return to your apartment, our daughter and her boyfriend have just become engaged so who knows, it may be sooner than we think. Maybe the Ravello wedding bug has struck again, I better start saving now!!

Great Views, Very Nice Apartment, Difficult Sleep

We just returned from staying at this apartment. Everything was very nice until it came to sleep time. Both double bedrooms overlook the street below. Even with the shutters closed, the car and motorbike noise is obvious. cars go by until midnight and start again at 6:00. Also a very noisy guard dog next door barks endlessly when disturbed. One night it barked for 10 minutes straight. Probably still worth the visit, but bring earplugs!
Owner's Response: Really sorry it wasn't as enjoyable as you expected, unfortunatelly there is little we can do to avoid traffic and if on some days is worst than others is really something out of our control, the same as with the dog, we never had a problem with that but of course it is not the same for everybody and some people are bothererd more than others but i do appreciate your comment anyway. Hopefully you enjoyed the family commitment to make your holiday as comfiortable as possible.

The apartment was exactly as described, though the views are better in real life! It was extremely clean and well equipped. Raffaela's family were very kind and helpful - they stayed up late when we inadvertently arrived after midnight, had done our shopping so we were able to have something to eat, plied us with wine from their garden and tried their best to sort out our internet problems. I would recommend both Ravello and this property to a friend or relative as an excellent holiday destination.

Spectacular beyond your wildest dreams!

The IS absolutely the most perfect place for a vacation.Our entire family went on vacation and really enjoyed good family time.The view is absolutely spectacular from the apartment and the website doesn't even do it justice. The Amato's are the most gracious loving people we have ever met. They were their for us the whole way from initial reservations with Rafaella to picking us up at the bus stop and pampering us all week. Maria keeps the apartment which really is a home extremely clean and when I had trouble with the wash machine, she finished our wash. God bless her. Virgillio brought us his amazing homemade wine which I don't think I will ever find again. Simone, Rafaella, and Diego were also helpful throughout the week with information, transportation, etc. They also took us to the large grocery store in Ravello on our night of arrival.
While we were in the Amalfi coast we went to various places as Amalfi, Positano, and Capri. But none compares to Ravello. It is so refined and full of life. The people are wonderful. Don't miss Villa Cimbrone and Villa Ruffalo, they are absolutely amazing. They do have the music festival which starts July 1st to August which would be amazing on the terrace of the apartment. We also saw fireworks from the terrace one night which was absolutely beautiful. I will not forget the church bells ringing every hour and the sunrise from the terrace. I will also not forget the fragrant tiglio trees in the square and the fun we had at the pool in Scala. It is truly an enchanting place and we really did not want to leave. We love the Amato's and pray that God richly blesses them for their superb hospitality.

So Beautiful

We have been to the Amalfi Coast many times, but on the last visit we said next time we would stay in Ravello. Its more sophisticated than Positano and a different experience with the quietness and the music concerts. We found this apartment by chance as some one told me about this site etc. Anyhow it was far better than we expected. The Mother, Maria adds a whole new meaning to the world clean, its cleaner than a surgical room. The home is fantastic, with everything you could possibly need at your finger tips, including a wonderful family right downstairs to help you with any situation. The Father Virgillio brought us the most amazing home grown lemons that no one would believe, and home made wine that was wonderful. The brothers were great on helping with anything that came up, like a ride to the train station at 6:30Am to Salerno, or making sure we got into the best restaurants without a reservation, and so much more. The Amato family will become your family. We just felt like we lived in Ravello not as visitors. This is the feeling we longed for when deciding to stay in Ravello. Yes the hills are steep and the stairs up to the square are high, but its all a part or understanding life in Ravello, and to wake up each morning to a beautiful if not spectacular vista of the sea right on your very own terrace is beyond words. We loved the "villa" and would certainly go back again and again. Also the smell of lemons in the air and the flowers will stay in your hearts forever just as the Amatos will. Rafella was wonderful in helping us with all the things we needed to make this happen. Coming from NYC and being very fussy to boot, I can say that this home met all of our expectations. it was furnished in old world Italian style too which added tot he charm. I miss it already, xoxoox
