We do our best to ensure you love your time here as much as we did when Kachi Ra was our home.

Air conditioned bedroom is the perfect place to get a good night's sleep at the end of your days exploring this beautiful island. Cozy, casual with rich mahogany surroundings in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood full of mature growth trees, new furniture, flat screen tv, wireless internet and digital cable.

Kachi Ra (Kachee'-rah) is just 20 steps away from a great pool and gas grill on an expansive sun deck with lounges and views of Little St. James and Pillsbury Sound.

Located only one mile from the ferry dock, Kachi Ra is within walking distance of town and a very short ride by car.

About Andrea Chouiniere

Ted purchased this condo in 1999, fresh out of college. I met him in 2005, and it was here at this condo that we fell in love and started a family. We moved out of the condo in 2010 to better accommodate our growing family, and started renting it out long-term. We now rent it out short-term to accommodate budget-savvy travelers like ourselves, and we hope island visitors enjoy their time at Kachi Ra as much as we did.

The condo is located in a quiet neighborhood, very convenient to Cruz Bay and North Shore beaches. The condominium complex is home to a mix of long-term residents, condo owners, and short-term rentals. It's a peaceful place where neighbors look out for one another. You can't beat the pool right outside your door, great for a dip in the quiet morning hours or for a refreshing swim after a long day at the beach.

What makes this condo unique

My husband worked hard to constantly improve the condo during our years living there. He handmade the gorgeous bathroom countertop, which evokes a nautical feel. He retiled the bathroom shower in a gorgeous dark slate, painted the kitchen cabinets, and built out the desk space and shelving himself. There are lots of little handmade touches throughout Kachi Ra that make it unique.

Vacation in Paradise

My husband and I had a great time in St John. The owner of the condo met us at the ferry when we arrived and showed us the condo. He recommended some beautiful beaches and hiking trails in the park. The condo was a short drive to town for shopping, restaurants and the grocery stores (Starfish Market has everything you could need). The pool was perfect on a warm afternoon to cool off. We can't wait for our return to St John

What a pleasant place!!

Andrea was so very pleasant to work with! The property was beautiful & very clean. Plenty of beach towels & all amenities were much appreciated (extra pillows, sheets & blankets). Thanks to Andrea for the great directions... would have been lost without them! We would definitely stay there again!!

Great Location

This is a very scenic property that made it very easy for us to explore St John. The condo is comfortable and clean with everything you need. The grounds are beautiful. The location made it easy to drive the mile or so into Cruz Bay for restaurants. We loved the options in Mongoose Junction, especially the Sun Dog Cafe. The row of waterfront restaurants was great too. We found it easy to access all of the national park beaches, as well as visit Coral Bay and the east end.

Peaceful and Private

Peaceful and private, yet so conveniently located to hiking (trail head right on the property) and Cruz Bay. Having a table & chairs on the porch was especially nice as we liked to have our breakfast outside. The pool was wonderful and had spectacular views. We did walk into town on the weekends for dinner when the buses weren't running (only one mile), but would usually take a taxi back. A beautiful property that we hope to visit again.

Great Condo!

Had a wonderful stay for a week from Dec 14-21 - the condo had everything we needed. We ended up cooking dinner for the entire week and it was so convenient to have the gas grill on the pool deck right outside our front door. Found everything we needed at the Starfish Supermarket in Cruz Bay - only a mile away - where you have the option of tons of restaurants if you choose to eat out.

We enjoyed great snorkeling at Waterlemon Cay and South Haulover. Also, enjoyed a great day at Trunk Bay - where the beach is beautiful and there are full facilities - nice to have flush toilets and showers to rinse off the salt water residue. Made spending the entire day there very enjoyable - just pick a day when there aren't lots of cruise ships in St Thomas.

Owners of the condo were great - very responsive in answering any questions and addressing any concerns..

Comfortable condo. Beautiful view

The condo is one mile from Cruz bay. We rented a vehicle and found it very easy to drive all over the island. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed including beach chairs, coolers, coffee maker, etc. beautiful pool and great view. I will stay here again.
