Self catering apartment ideal for holidays and short breaks in Madeira Island. This rental accommodation is located on the top of a detached villa,with totally privacy and private entrance, NOT SHARED by anyone else. With a very pleasant balcony, where you can enjoy the magnificent sea and mountain view, have your breakfast or sunbath the whole day. It is composed by an open space, tastefully decorated and totally equipped for your holidays. With a spacious living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen, you will feel absolutely comfortable in it.
In the south balcony, you can have sun until 3 O´clock in the afternoon, and after that you can enjoy the other terrace until late. The sunsets and nights are really wonderful, calm and peaceful. You can park outside, but car is not necessary, as buses are just by the main road, 50meters away from the apartment. The pool, located at the garden´s village, can be reached through some outside stairs.
Amenities ...: Pilar Studio is provided with all things you may need during your stay. It is totally equipped, with washing machine, free internet access , all the pans and equippment in the kitchen, and a barbecue located outside on the south balcony. An air conditioning helps you in warmer days and nights, but we also have a log fire very helpful too..This of course is to be used only by our guests during their stay.
We also provide you the bed linen , bath towels and pool towels for your stay.
Note that we have only one apartment at the house, so nothing is shared, all is in exclusive...!!!
A new thing there, is that we offer a double sofa bed, in the sitting room, so it can be used by 4 persons, not only two.
The TV with 70 channels, covers all the main countries you are used to.
To use internet, we will provide you a code, so you can easily reach any part of the world. It is very fast...
Location: Very close to our apartment, just a few walking minutes , you have a supermarket, a bakery to get your fresh bread in the mornings, coffees, ATM, a very good and not expensive Restaurant with a take away service, and now one of the best pizzas service in Madeira. Down the road, you have another very good bakery and a SPAR supermarket.
When you arrive, we will suggest you a bus card to use on the regular buses, that can be recharged on the supermarket. It is very cheap and you can go all around Funchal city using it.
Also, we can recommend you trips around the Island, with a very good and trusty company . Most of our guests do it, and they always say it is really worth and not expensive. They can pick you up in the apartment in the morning and drop you off in the end of the day.
A trip to Porto Santo can also be arranged, and good Restaurants tips during your stay.
The pick up on your arrival or departure day can be done by Mr. Alves, a reliable person working with us for over 4 years.
Golf, beaches and Levadas Walks: Palheiro Golf: located 10 minutes driving time from Pilar Studio, with magnificent views overlooking the town and bay, it´s an 18 hole golf course from 1993 by Cable Robinson. It is skilfully set within the gracious parkland of Quinta do Palheiro Ferreiro. Santo Da Sera Golf Course, was redesigned in 1991 by the famous golf architect Robert Trent Jones,who created a spectacular 27 hole golf course in one of the most beautiful landscapes that nature may offer. It´s located in Santo da Serra, 20minutes driving away from Pilar Studio.
BEACHES-all around the Island, has been carefully created natural beaches;only 2kmt from the apartment,you can find Lido Mar, Praia Formosa, Barreirinha, Or Ponta Gorda. In any of them, you are able to enjoy our sun and the green flags of our sea. If you want to go a bit far and leave Funchal, you are also able to find very good beaches, even with sand, like Calheta Beach.
Levada walking, are just wonderful trips along the inside part of the Island.
