Our party consisted of 6 adults ie ourselves, our son, daughter, their spouses and 2 under 2year old grandsons. Treelea provided our party with an ideal "holiday home away from home". Right from the time of booking we found the owner, Mr Scott, always easy to contact and accomodating with regard to our party's needs.
The property was clean, well maintained and appointed. As the weather was not very good during our visit and we had young children with us, Treelea provided a warm, comfortable and roomy environment for us to enjoy indoor family life. We would happily recommend this holiday home to our friends.
Hammerton Wildlife Centre, and Central Park, Peterborough were two local attractions we very much enjoyed.

(Nigel the following is not intended for the review. Due to the hosepipe ban the swimming pool was not at it's best and made a very bad impression on one member of our party. We discussed this and thought it might be worth your mentionning to future clients at the time of booking or before their arrival that the condition of the swimming pool is not as shown in your photograph. Best regards. M&S)
We just wanted to thank you so much for letting us rent your delightful property. There was so much room for the little ones to run around and they had the most amazing time. We took full advantage of being able to spend every day in the fresh air, something we cannot do so much in town. The house was very clean and well-maintained with everything that we could possibly need for our stay. We would certainly be interested in renting from you again next year, if you are still renting out the property. Many thanks once again for all your help and for making our holiday so happy.
Two weeks ago my entire family (well except the ones in USA!) stayed at this wonderful house.
My husband,84 year old mum, adult children and partners and 3 young grandchildren and I (11 of us) had a wonderful time.
3 nights and 2 days of fun packed family time-quality time. The house is spacious, light and comfy. The garden is large and safe and the fields at the back huge and packed with interest and activity.
We especially liked the river packed with large fish which the children enjoyed feeding whenever they could. A great family venue.
We stayed in the first week of June - 9 adults and many children and the house was more than big enough to accomodate us all. Total of 6 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms as well as a large kitchen, very spacious for us all and for the kids to roam around. There are plenty of TV's in each of the rooms although an LCD / Plasma would go nicely in the lounge.
The garden was nice and big and led out to a bigger field area where the owners kindly put a marquee over the paddling pool. Theres a big trampoline / basketball set and Nigel even fixed up a table football for the kids to enjoy.
There is a very friendly cat (Smudge) roaming around the place as well as a mound/home for Billy and Jess (ferrets) - again which the kids loved. Go further you come across a Koi Carp lake which has plenty of fishes and two Aylesbury Ducks - again the kids couldnt get enough. The owners also created a pathway to walk around the lake.
The nearest supermarkets (Sainsburys / Tesco Express) are in March which is a 15 min drive. The Mepal Outdoor Centre which again is 15/20 mins away is a great getaway for the kids to have fun during a morning / afternoon. Ely with a lovely Cathedral is only 30 mins away.
In summary, we all loved staying at Treelea and didn't want to leave. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and are very grateful to Nigel and Trudi for the way the looked after us. We do hope we can come back one day to the Treelea.
We booked for a party of 10 people to stay at Treelea for my hen weekend. The house was absolutely fantastic as a base for our 3 night stay. The house itself is impressive with lots of excellent bedrooms and bathrooms so we were all very comfortable. It felt very spacious for ten people and even with an extra 4 that is it capable of sleeping there would still have been lots of living space. The kitchen is very well stocked for self catering - all the facilities that were needed were there. dishwasher was appreciated! We used the house as a base from which to visit Cambridge for the day - train from March to Cambridge costs about £18 return. A taxi from Treelea to March station cost £10. The price was what made this location even better for a 3 night stay because the bill was split between ten of us. I would recommend the house to groups such as ours who want a weekend away together where you can all be in one place not split up in different hotel rooms. A trip to Ely or Cambridge really is not far at all and is worth the travel cost when you are getting money back on excellent priced accommodation.
We stayed over New Year - 6 adults and 4 children aged 8 -14. We had a fantastic time and would definitely book again. The house was superb, very well kept, clean and warm. All liasions with the owners were friendly and they were very helpful. We also found differnt local places to visit on the days we went out (did need a car).
Ideally situated within 60 minutes of most major town and cities (i.e. Cambridge, Peterborough, and Norfolk, Kings Lynn, wisbech and Ely. (Local) welney wetlands and wildfowl trust and tourist centre, stonea Bronze Age camp. Leisure centers in March town with swimming pool, local parachute and skydive center. We are set in open countryside ideal for the quiet getaway with local amenities 10 mins drive also pub restaurant 400 yards. The nearest dive center is only 30minutes drive. Own transport recommended.
Other Activities: Bird watching, skydiving, parachuting and soon to come land hovercrafts
