Comfort and relaxation, close to beach and countryside, villa sleeps 4/6.

Ideally situated in Crete's Apokoronas region, considered by many to be the island's most beautiful, Villa Sinefo Ennea is located in an elevated position with stunning sea views from both ground and first floor. It stands in its own private garden within a small select development.

EOT licensed

The 40sq metre mosaic tiled pool, to the rear of the villa, is shared with four other houses. The garden is on 2 levels with private areas for sunbathing or sitting in the shade. A wide variety of plants, including bougainvillea, palms, fruit trees and cacti are becoming established. Sunbeds and deckchairs are provided. There is a covered terrace area with table and chairs for alfresco meals. A natural stone paved area with pergola provides peaceful shade for relaxation.

Our satisfied holidaymakers include a couple chilling out; a baby on her first holiday; energetic under 10s; teenagers; people who hired cars and those who explored on foot and by bus. Some even fell in love with Plaka

Activities close by: The local area provides some wonderful walks and a guide book of walks is available for guests to use.

The beach at Almerida is sandy and gently sheving and is ideal for families. Sailing and windsurfing hire is available.

Villa Sinefo Ennea is situated in Crete's Apokoronas region, considered by many to be the island's most beautiful.

The villa is located on the edge of the traditional village of Plaka with views of Souda Bay and the Akrotiri peninsula. The village square, with its excellent tavernas, bar, cafes and mini market be reached on foot in five minutes. The seaside village of Almirida and its blue flag sandy, gently shelving beach is a further 15 minutes downhill or 5 minutes by car. Here you will find beachside tavernas, bakeries, mini markets, gift shops, sailing/windsurfing, car hire, internet cafe.

Local villages are Kalives (bank), Gavalochori, Vamos (health centre), Drapanos and Kokkino Chorio.

The old capital of Chania, a 30 minute drive, has a beautiful Venetian harbour with a maze of fascinating backstreets. An evening visit to take in the atmosphere is essential.

Georgioupoli and Rethymno are less than 1 hour. The White Mountains are easily accessible by car.

  • The ground floor shower room has a walk in shower, basin with cabinet above and WC. The spacious first floor bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin with cabinet above, WC and washing machine.

  • The two spacious and airy first floor bedrooms share a furnished balcony with pergola and enjoy stunning sea and country views. Both bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinets, mirrors and wall mounted hairdryers and LCD TV's to play dvd's only.. Duvets are provided for the cooler months. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and wardrobe safe. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, dvd player and lcd tv to play dvds only. Up to two further guests can be accommodated in the lounge where there is an 'L' shaped sofa that converts to a double bed.

The open plan lounge/kitchen is furnished to a high standard in a modern style with an 'L' shaped sofa that converts to a double bed, leather chair and coffee table. There is a wall mounted CD/mp3 player,satellite LED widescreen TV and DVD player. CDs and DVDs are provided, but you might prefer to bring your favourites. Telephone available for local and european land line calls up to 100 minutes per week. The French windows in the lounge overlook the village and sea. The well appointed kitchen has been thoughtfully equipped with all the comforts of home: kettle, toaster, coffee maker, iron and the vital wine glasses and bottle opener! The villa is fully air conditioned with units that can also act as heaters if required for early and late season visitors. The villa was spotlessly clean, fresh, well equipped and well presented. The welcome pack (we arrived very late evening) had all the essentials and more.

The owner was very helpful: he augmented the directions to assist us as we were arriving in the dark. Also as there was no one staying in the villa on our departure date he rearranged the cleaning for the following day allowing us to stay based in the villa for an additional day, driving to the airport for an evening departure.

Although we did get out to see some of the local area we spent a lot of time at the villa relaxing, enjoying the terrace, the views, the garden (which provide sunny and shady spots) and the pool (very clean).

Both the recommended local restaurants were very good and good value.

I would certainly recommend the villa to others and we hope to be back soon ourselves.

This was a fantastic place to stay: really well presented, well maintained accomodation that suited my family perfectly. Plaka within easy walking, with excellent restaurants and bars to keep us going for 2 weeks. Great feel to the place

The pool is great, very clean: the garden gets sun/shade all day so you can hop in & out of the sun & pool.

We had a great holiday the villa was very clean and well equiped, it has a beautifully maintained garden and pool area. It is quiet but not to far from Plaka village square which has nice restaurants and bars, the locals are also very friendly.
We would definitely like to stay at this villa again.

The villa was very clean, comfortable and ideally located for exploring Western Crete. We arrived in the middle of the night so didn't get to see the beautiful gardens filled with stunning, colourful flowers and delightful fruit trees until the morning. The view literally took our breath away - something you cannot appreciate by looking at photos on the website. The sea and mountain views were something we never grew tired of. We found little extras like Sky News useful as we could stay up to date with how many Gold Medals Team GB were winning during the Olympics! All the furniture appeared to be of good quality (comfy beds and sofa!) plus there was sufficient cooking utensils and crockery etc. Plus it was very handy having a washing machine and a second bathroom, especially when the whole family wanted to get ready and out in time for a delicious meal at one of the excellent tavernas in Plaka! As a location we found the distances worked just right for us. A 10 minute walk took us into the village which also had a very well stocked local mini-market. The closest beach was Almerida which took approximately 10 minutes by car. We also enjoyed driving through the mountains and again, the views were spectacular! Malcolm & Carolyn have done a great job in making Sinefo Ennea feel like a 'home from home'. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending the villa to our friends and family.

What a fantastic place to stay! The views are amazing and the villa has everything you could need-especially the beautiful clear pool for cooling down. Very peaceful as not busy with holiday makers which is what we like and also out of the way, so a car is needed, but that's our holiday style.
Will definately recommend and hopefully will be going back again, possibly with more family members.
