Property is exactly as stated in the listing. Building is safe, well maintained and in a fantastic location. You are right on the edge of the French Qtr, so it is easy to get anywhere within the Qtr or take off for another area. The manager of the property was very easy to get a hold of to answer any of our questions. All and all, I would stay here anytime I come back to NOLA with out question.
My husband and I and another couple recently stayed here for four nights. Very nicely decorated with everything we needed and more. Called the morning of our arrival and asked if we could get in early and Steve said that was no problem at all. The kitchen had everything we needed and they went as far to stock sodas, water and beer. Dish of bite size candy and a basket of individual chips were on the kitchen countertop as well. (Like a hotel mini bar without the extra charges!) We were surprised we had no noise issues at all, especially with The House of Blues right across the street. Fabulous location, within walking distance of everything in The Quarter. This is a five star rental and we will definitely stay here again!!!
Our group of four stayed here for Mardi Gras 2015. Let's start wit the location. Perfect! We walked to the french market, bourbon street for the party, all over the French Quarter and never had a worry. We took streetcars to the Garden District and to a couple of cemetaries. The House of Blues across the street had some of the best food we had all week. The condo itself looks like is newly renovated and very well done. Great bedrooms and bathrooms, wood floors, complimentary water sodas, chips, snacks, candy, brand new cookware, towels, etc. The owner gave me his personal cell and answered email and text questions right away. This was the best way to stay. Private building, not a hotel, no foot traffic or public access at all. It was just awesome. I felt like I owned a house in NOLA. A cab from the airport to the Condo cost 33 bucks and we never even considered a car. Had such an awesome time. Can't wait to go back. If you can get a hold of this place for Voodoo fest, Mardi Gras, Jazz Festivals, whatever, just do it. You will be glad you did.
This place was fantastic and exceeded my expectations in every way. Excellent location, very safe, and beautiful updated condo. Groceries were nearby as well. Our only issue was with Wi-Fi. If you need solid Wi-Fi access, we found ours to be very spotty. Steve was very responsive throughout our entire stay and beforehand as well. I'm guessing that this is one of the best places to stay in the French Quarter. It would be hard to beat!! Thanks for everything Steve!
EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR STAY HERE WAS POSITIVE. THE UNIT ITSELF IS GORGEOUS. BOTH BEDS ARE BEYOND COMFORTABLE AND THE BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE. THE FURNISHINGS THROUGHOUT ARE NICE. THERE IS NO BALCONY FOR THE GREAT VIEW, BUT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PULL UP A BARSTOOL TO THE WINDOW AND TAKE A SEAT. :-) THE BUILDING THE CONDO IS IN IS SAFE AND SECURE. COMMUNICATION WITH THE OWNER WAS EXCELLENT. THE FRIDGE WAS STOCKED WITH GOODIES. THAT WAS A NICE TOUCH. MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE UNIT WAS THE FLOORING. SO PRETTY. EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO DESIGNATED PARKING, WE HAD NO PROBLEM FINDING A SPOT JUST AROUND THE CORNER. YOU CAN ALSO PAY TO PARK AT NEARBY LOTS. BUT JUST LOOKOUT FOR AN EMPTY SPACE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. :) ITS WALKING DISTANCE TO ANYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT TO DO. AND IF YOU DONT WANT TO WALK, TAKE A CAB. THEY'RE CHEAP AND A DIME A DOZEN AROUND THERE. I GIVE THIS PLACE AN A+ FOR SURE. DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE!
Amazing location: within walking distance of most places. The trolley is nearby. Very clean and comfortable. The amenities were impressive. Various cold beverages available in fridge, chocolate, wifi, a mac computer, and printer. This is one of the best rentals ever on vrbo. The owner was pleasant, accessible and very easy to work with. THANK YOU!
This 2 bedroom, 2 full bathroom condominium is located in the heart of the French Quarter, Vieux Carré - or the “Quarter” to locals. This unit has all the amenities of home.
This location is a 5 minute walk to Jackson Square and Mississippi Riverfront. The property sits on some of the highest ground in New Orleans. Within in 10 minutes you can easily walk to the finest restaurants; Brennan's, Bourbon House, Antoine's, and Acme Oysters, just to name a few. You are across the street from the world acclaimed 'House of Blues' and less than a 10 minute walk to Bourbon Street, Harrah's Casino and many other local museums, art galleries and shopping mall.
You will be in the city’s cultural hub, surrounded by a community where residents take time to reminisce with neighbors about times gone by and to welcome visitors in the streets. Not only is the location Intimate and unique but this newly renovated property sits in New Orleans’ oldest neighborhood. You will feel the same spirit that has exerted a spell over writers and artists since the time of Mark Twain, Lafcadio Hern and John James Audubon.
You will be surrounded by French Quarter architecture with a mix of Spanish, French, Creole and American styles. Plastered walls and single chimneys reflect laws enacted after fire virtually destroyed the city in 1788 and 1794. You will see walled courtyards, perfect for French Quarter events; remnants of the Spanish influence.
