The house is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Spain. Ten minutes to the sandy creeks of L'Ametlla de Mar, fifteen minutes to the Delta d'Ebre, forty five minutes to the wild mountains of El Ports, and a similar distance to the wines of Priorat, Montsant and Terra Alta. The coast supplies the best fish and shell fish of the Mediterranean. Yet "Can Albert" sits peacefully in the middle of the olive trees. We were eight adults and five children, being a family get together from four different countries, the house was clean and equipped with everything we needed and the garden, pool, etc were excellent. The owner was very helpful at all times, particularly when we had problems with one of the hire cars,( how does one explain in Spanish how to find a house in the middle of the olive trees! ) Eating out in L'Ametlla, El Perello or L'Ampolla is only a ten minute drive. The fitter ones of our group enjoyed the 25 kilometre run into the surrounding hills others a bike ride through the olive trees. This is not a venue for those seeking piano bars, discos, and the trappings of a big resort. Definitely recommended!
