I am proud and happy to say that I have lived in the Puget Sound area my entire life. One of my favorite pastimes is traveling. I have visited every continent, 60 different countries and taken 40 cruises (so far!). Because I have spent so much time traveling, I truly have a good understanding of guests' needs and wants.
Even though I am happy to have seen so much of the world, I am always grateful to return to an area as gorgeous and diverse as the Pacific Northwest.
Anderson Island, in particular, is one of my favorite places to 'get away' and relax. I really like the slower pace of life on the island. You can't help but feel a 'world away' from the hectic daily grind the moment you disembark the ferry. It really is a special place!
This house has an interesting background, as it was one of several now on the island that were moved in via barge in the 1970s, transplanted from the SeaTac area near Seattle. I understand it was quite a site to behold: houses placed on stilts and shipped down the Puget Sound’s Narrows Inlet!
My parents purchased the home in 1973 as a place for our family to vacation. My brothers and I were always thrilled at every opportunity to visit the home and experience the natural beauty that surrounds it. They choose this particular property because it’s just one block from a fishing & swimming dock located on Lake Josephine. My husband will tell you this “is the best fishing dock on the lake!”
In my opinion, the property is ideally located. The seclusion of the coniferous trees surrounding the home allow you to truly relax in privacy, while so many great activities are easily within walking distance!
We like to take advantage of so many things the island has to offer; among our favorites are fishing, golfing and the wonderful restaurants. We also really enjoy browsing the numerous summertime yard & estate sales (you can find amazing things at excellent prices!), and we look forward to visiting the new wildlife preserve to catch some great wildlife pics!
