Vatican house B&B in Rome.

Four of us stayed here and once we had finally found the apartment we found it to be a great location - 2minutes walk from Cipro tube station. What I would say that if you are going to arrive late, the tubes stop running at 9pm from Termini, and the bus replacement service is awful so it is worth paying the 50euro to get a taxi from the airport. This will be the case until April 2012. A tip - The entry buzzer to the flat is number 5 on the right side of the mass of buttons towards the bottom, we were tired and stressed by the time we arrived and could not find it easily. The actual apartment is very spacious, the floor was clean - my socks stayed white! The beds were comfy and the sheets were clean. There are the usual bits of kitchen equipment and also a hairdrier. It would benefit from a kettle though and fixing or getting rid of the dishwasher that is broken. The owners are very helpful, we were cold and they brought round more quilts. The area is residential and felt safe. There is a supermarket 2 minutes walk away, we had to discover this as there is no information provided on such matters. Usually a holiday flat has a folder with local information and also tourist information, and also rules for recycling etc perhaps the owners could consider making one? It would be very useful. I would definately recommend it though as it was a great location and a nice place to stay in and communication with the owners prior to arrival was good.

IVery close to metro station and buses. In nearby area several markets, coffe shops, snaks, pizzeria with very very friendly prices ;).
The apartament is clean and comfortable.
I reccomend it for families and group of friends who like to spend all day in the town and then rest in quiet place.

I stayed in this no-frills apartment and was very happy with it. The owners were extremely helpful and arranged taxis for us to and from the airport. My only complaint is that my crawling baby got very dirty hands and knees from the floors, but other than that, we were very comfortable here and I didn't have to worry about the baby knocking over anything breakable! I could not have asked for a better location, it only took about 5 minutes to walk to the Metro and we were only 1 stop from the Vatican. The neighborhood had great take-away restaurants, coffee shops, and little grocery stores. The breakfast you get is at a coffee bar about 2 blocks away. You can get one thing to eat and one thing to drink(i.e. a pastry and coffee). There aren't any tables or chairs, so I recommend bringing it back to the apartment or just eating on the go. There is no internet so make sure you have a good guide book, map, and plan before you go. I would absolutely recommend this place both for the convenience and the price, but especially the owners.
