The Villa, masterfully run by Maria and her sons and equipped with all the comforts for a holiday in which peace and tranquility are top of the list.

The swimming pool, the great 'outdoor' space, the ample bedrooms with the amazing view of the Isola dei Galli guarantee the excellence of the Villa.

It wouldn't be unusual for guests to hear a knock on the door and find maria with a basket of lemons, tomatoes or fresh rocket to make a delicious salad, everything rigorously hand picked from the gardens adjacent to the villa or to end a magical day dining with maria and her sons.

Villa Punta del Sole is synonymous with positano's tradition of hospitality.

Amazing setting - great for our large group of family and friends

Loved staying at Punto del Sole. Vito was a mine of useful information about the area and the location was perfect. There was plenty of room for our group of 14. The kitchen was fully equipped and well used for a celebration meal, where we all sat on the balcony to eat. The cats and dog were much loved by the children and the view is to die for . Thank you - would love to come back some time

Perfect post-wedding relaxation spot

After a beautiful wedding in Tuscany, a group of 10 of us drove down to the Amalfi Coast to Vito's beautiful villa. Communication with him was always prompt and very responsive, and he even put us in contact with a boat rental company. The villa itself is secluded and high up in the cliffs, away from the bustle of Positano beaches. There is a lovely terrace with an incredible view of the sea where we spent every afternoon and evening drinking, chatting, and listening to music. The walk down to Positano beach is fairly difficult with many steps but as a group in their early 30s, it was no problem for us and something we were prepared for. There are sidewalk kiosks about a 10 minute walk from the villa to pick up delicious treats, snacks and granita. The main supermarket itself is a bit further but not too far at all. The family themselves were so welcoming and check-in and check-out were super smooth, especially as we had different groups of cars arriving at varying times. So happy I found and booked this villa, my friends were all super grateful too. Highly recommend.

Villa in a beautiful location. Hosts are welcoming and villa is gorgeous!

Vito was an excellent host. He gave us all the details of the local area and the best places to eat. We went to 2 restaurants recommended by him and both were excellent. On arrival he drove one of our party to the supermarket on his moped to sort out Food. The villa itself is in a lovely location - the views are incredible. The whole place had everything we needed. The mother was so great with the baby and helped make up his cot with us. The pool was clean, kitchens fully equipped and a cleaner came in once in the week. The little extras were so special such as giving us a bottle of wine that had been made from the grapes at the villa. Although hilly, the walk into positano was manageable and Vito helped arrange taxis which were cheaper than ones we had booked ourselves. With such a big group of us, 11 in total, we thought we may not have space but there was plenty of room and loads of little cute places to read your book and have a coffee. Positano is a beautiful place and we will always remember this holiday as it is where our friend got married. All of us give a massive thanks to the family for welcoming us! Best wishes, September wedding party.

All you would ever wish for

Of course, you’ll already know that the setting is stunning. High cliffs dripping down to the azure Mediterranean Sea, picturesque houses dotted and clinging to the hills covered in vines. Vito’s home is all you would ever wish for. Immaculately clean. Spacious. Well equipped. With a view to die for. But you aren’t just hiring a villa. It is Vito’s family home. Giovanni’s pizza party is the stuff of a lifetime of memories. Franco and Vito are the men of the town. (Secret: drop Vito’s name into conversation and you’ll get a knowing look/best table in the house). We’ve just spent two weeks here. The first as 3 families that know each other well. The second with our extended families. Vito’s home is magnificent.

Beautiful Views, Great Location, Friendly Hosts

Our party of eight friends has just returned from a week’s holiday in the Villa Punta del Sol in Positano where we celebrated two 60th birthdays. We had a great time and can thoroughly recommend this holiday venue. The villa itself is dramatically positioned on the cliff edge and provides fantastic views of this beautiful part of the Amalfi coast. A ten minute walk took us to the steps down to Positano with its picturesque pebble beachfront, shops and cafes. We also found it was a good location for exploring more of the Amalfi coast and places of special interest such as Pompeii , Capri and Ravello. The villa itself had three self-contained apartments. If we needed anything the owners lived on the ground floor so we were able to ask them. They helped with cases and shopping as the steps down to the villa were pretty steep. They also spoilt us with limoncello, sugared almonds and beautiful orchids….and really didn’t seem to mind about the noise factor!! All in all a great place to celebrate!! Thank you!

I think that Positano is very hard to explain.

When people arrive here, they often did't really know what this place represent. John Steinbeck used a very short sentece to explain Positano: 'Positano bites deep'.

In the surrounding area some of the most important archeological site, places , monument and towns (Amalfi, Ravello, Pompei, Capri). A place full of myth, history and more: good food, charming people. So: WHY NOT? See you here!
