This attractively decorated apartment is fully-equipped to help make your vacation as enjoyable as possible. Pets are allowed. The pool is right in front of our building and it has a kitchen area with a BBQ and a cooler with ice. There are towels in the pool for your convenience. A pool table is also in the pool area. The other room has two full beds and the second bathroom is in front. You will love the big balcony with a beautiful lake view. The St. Regis Resort is inside Bahia Beach complex. Wi-Fi is available.
My family just completed a week's stay at the villa and it was simply amazing! The property was just as described/displayed online and both Laura and Frankie were great to work with. The facilities and property at the Bahia Beach Resort are beyond beautiful! There are so many things to see and do on the resort that our kids never wanted to leave, and the golf cart (included with the rental) made getting around the resort a breeze. This is definitely a family friendly resort.
Finally, this was a great location for half-day excursions to Old San Juan, El Yunque Rain Forest, and Fajardo. I would highly recommend getting out to explore some of the local sites!
We have stayed at other resorts in the area (Rio Grande) but this is our winner, so far. The villa was very clean and nicely decorated not to mention with all the amenities found at a hotel, except for a safe. Our teenagers had a great time paddle boarding, biking, kayaking (all included) at the Boathouse. The only complain was that it seems that the villa right above ours, was being remodeled and on the Monday morning we woke up by the sound of their tools. If at least they could delay to begin making noises later in the AM, instead.
We just got back from our amazing stay! We have (5) children & had an amazing time! The Bahia Beach/St. Regis property/grounds are by far the most beautiful & unique I've ever seen (and I've worked in the travel industry for years..so I've seen a lot). This property has a nature center w/certified Naturalists. Our children were able to release baby turtles in the ocean, collect sand dollars on shore, pick up star fish while snorkeling (via private sailing excursion), bike ride on the stunning trails & kayak through the canals (which you can see in the villa photos).
The only issue we had was that we wished we had access to the resort pool. The one for the residents is nice but pretty small. The good news is that they are developing a much larger one & expected to be complete in August! The beach club is also very nice. A lovely area with hammocks, tables & beach chairs.
Charlie's Car Rental - local company & best rates.
Erin Go Bragh Charters - for a nice private family excursion.
Restaurants: Fern (at the resort) - best food we had on trip.
Seagrass (at resort) - great for lunch & great adult drinks.
Lobby Bar (at resort) - very small (a little disappointing) but only real late night option close by. Tried some other restaurants off site but nothing I would recommend.
The villa was exactly as the photos depicted - very clean, well appointed. I would agree w/the other reviews that the shower situation in the master should be altered. Also, note, this unit is on the 2nd floor (looked like it was on the 1st from the photos - which is probably better for security reasons anyway). I would also recommend putting a safe in the unit (just to have ease of mind) & ironing board. Other than that, it was great. The owners stocked the fridge, per our request (which was very nice). There are also bath amenities (just like a hotel) with shampoo, shower gel, etc - nice touch for a villa. I'm certain we will be back & have already recommended to others! The things my children did in one trip took me several separate trips to experience. This place is a hidden gem!
*One more tip…navigation (of any kind) doesn't work in PR!!! We got lost several times - make sure to get very specific driving instructions around the island! Enjoy!
The condo was everything we hoped for and more. It was clean, comfortable and a beautiful view of the golf course and lake. My husband and 2 girls (4 and 2) stayed for 4 nights. Laura and Frankie were so nice and answered all our questions and responded very promptly. The pool and beach were just amazing. The golf cart was so luxury to have as it made getting around the resort so much fun. We are looking forward to our next stay.
We stayed in this 2 bedroom condo for 10 days in July 2013 and everything was great. The entire condo was very clean and had many kitchen spices and additives that you could use during your stay. There were more than enough clean towels. All the applliances were in working order. The resort pool (clean and gorgeous)was just outside the building. The staff at St. Regis were very friendly and helpful to cater to your every need. The boathouse were you can use kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, sail boats was only 300 meters from the condominium.
This rental came with a free use of their 4 seater golf cart, a super addition to explore the entire resort. Overall this was a great, safe and wonderful rental in Puerto Rico.
My constructive feedback:
* Please install a shower curtain in the master bath, it will help keep the water contained while taking a shower.
* Beach at Bahia is on the Atlantic side and the weather did not cooperate while we were there. Nothing the owners can do, but if you are planning on a great beach, bahia beach is 3/10.
That's all folks.
We had a great time and could have stayed longer. Puerto Rico is a wonderful place with very, very friendly/ helpful people. Loved all the food.
Frankie was awesome to work with.
Thank you for sharing your home (2nd) with us.
There are so many fantastic things I have to say about our stay but I'll start with gratitude:Laura and Frankie Bonilla-thank you for sharing your vacation home with us! We'll be back!
The apartment is very clean and well maintained with amazing views to the golf course and the rainforests from the balcony. The sun sets on that side so the evenings are really enchanting sipping on something nice and taking it all in with a breeze of 15 mph at 84 degrees. You've all the amenities you need. Everything works. The cool part's when you arrive if someone left some beverages in the fridge you just enjoy them but when you leave-you make sure to do the same! That gets the party started quickly!
It was 6 of us (Wife, 2 boys, mom+ mom in law-yeah, u read that right! That's how I roll!)
More than enough room for everyone-the moms shared 1 bedroom, the kids crashed wherever.
The pool's right across the walkway+ they have a billiards+ new grill out there so u can get ur BBQ on as I grilled like 3 nights straight! Ralph's is the closest grocery store on Rte 3 (it's like a 10 minute car ride off the property) so u can load up on the groceries, beer & liquor. There's a WalGreens up the street. Everything u need's right there. WalMart is a bit down the road.
The property's fantastic! U have several different sections but La Verandas is where this is located on the Bahia Resort. They have the bike rentals (free)+the boat rentals (free)+nature trail tours. Playground and a basketball court is there for the kids-Yep, I had to show'em the skills!
The bike trails are fun-my 6y/o just came off the training wheels and rode like he's ready for the X-Games.
The next property over is La Ventana-that's where the golf shop and restaurant's located. There's a weight room you CAN use (across from Olas) to get your pump on! And the beach is right behind the restaurant!
The last area's the St Regis-it's beautiful but u can go to the beach there (Don't bring a cooler-they want u to $pend at their bar-U have to bring some towels but if u r cool and tip the beach caddies-they will hook u up like they did me! U can't really do anything there but the beach!
Lastly, the bidet! That was the fun part! Don't look down in there+ turn it on like I did!
Still laughing about that!
The lack of the shower curtain was different but the jetted tub made up for it!
OSJ and Isla Verde is only 25 mins away in a car to the clubs and casinos!
The drivers r crazy!
Had a blast! :-)
Hated to leave :-(
