Our family, composed of two parents and two daughters (7 and 10 years old), became passionate about the department of the Pyrenees-Orientales for its almost unspoilt nature and in particular for its beautiful historical village of Mosset that allows us to tour around the whole region. Ski during the winter, beach in the summer, and the innumerable valleys, rivers and high-altitude lakes for the rest of the year. Let's not forget the enchanting hot springs of Saint-Thomas les Bains. We are happy to help you discover this magical place! We hope you will love it as much as we do!
We are much attached to this house because first, it offers a unique view of the mountain, like the nest of an eagle perched above the village; we would like to point out the fact that very few houses have a terrace in this medieval village. Secondly, it allowed us to set foot in this wonderful Catalan region which we discover with great pleasure as much as we can. It is a great playground for nature lovers like us!
This house offers all the advantages: it is really pleasant and it offers a stunning view of the mountain. The village managed to keep its original style and is perched in the heart of a lovely valley dominated by the Canigou and drenched by the Castellane. The valley and the region abound in thousands dishes (fruits, wines, cheeses, honey, vegetables, cooked pork meats, local specialities); you cannot miss the picturesque markets or the hikes in high- and medium-altitude mountains and do not forget the high-altitude lakes and their gorges! A bath in the river is also a must, in particular in the Agly River that leaves unforgettable memories. The Mediterranean Sea is at 45 minutes by car with its large fine sandy beaches. The rocky coast after Collioure is full of coves of clear water! In other words, it is a heavenly region with many possibilities in every fields.
