Villa Apollo - Excellent

As a family we stayed at the villa for four weeks. It more than met our expectations. The furnishings were top rate and the settees and chair of the reclining variety for extra comfort. Every appliance that you could possibly need was supplied and in good and clean working order, Andy and Spiros were always on hand to answer any questions and supply us with clean sheets and towels when necessary. The pool was checked for water quality by Spiros and as it was always in use it gave us peace of mind.
The view was spectacular and the ever changing vista kept us mesmerised. To wake up and see across to Zante in it's ever changing spectas was brilliant.
We used the Kaliva tavern in Scala often over the weeks and the host (Mario) always served us with delicious food and good Greek entertainment, In the Katelios taverna we found the food good and the information from the owner amusing and helpful. On one particular inclement day I was given a spare cardigan to borrow.
Katerina's tavern on the beach was welcoming as we had met her on previous holidays and her new puppy (Byron) was great for the Grandchildren to play with.
The taxi's from Scala charge 6 euros for one way and I am sure that they now know where Villa Apollo is (near the Hotel Aliki - shut down)
I think new comers need to know that it takes a good half an hour to walk to Scala, even using the back paths, therefore a car may be useful especially if you are not as fit as you could be. Also to stock up on food we used the car to go to Lydlls as the local shops can run away with your money.
This was our 6th visit to the island and the best holiday and accommodation we have had. Many thanks.
