Well-furnished self-catering rental villa near Adriatic white sand beaches, family friendly. Sleeps 6 in 2 double bedrooms + daybed + sleep chair (fine for children).

Handicapped accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches, the house is barrier-free with no steps or thresholds. Gorgeous landscaped palm garden grounds, olive grove, cypresses, full-time horticultural caretaker.

Equipped with Flat-screen TV, DVD, CD player, books & games. We have indoor & outdoor dining areas,BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, gas hob/ cooker, full bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers.

All beach equipment such as umbrella, chairs and cooler are included in the rental. In the heart of Puglia's gastronomic wonderland, near open-air markets with plenty of local colour, great lidos, free beaches, and lots of summer seaside day and night-life. La Dolce Vita: We suggest that our guests dip into “la dolce vita” by using the local beaches, lidos, weekly markets, and local vendors. Free public beaches include Lido Pilone, Torre Santa Sabina, and Torre Guaceto, a WWF preserve. Private lidos include Lido Pantanagianni, Rosa Marina, and Costa Merlata. A famous open-air market takes place every Saturday in Ostuni, only minutes away, and the weekly food market in Carovigno on Tuesday mornings makes food shopping a joy.

Villa Palma is located exactly between Ostuni and Carovigno, only 15 minutes from Ostuni by car. Ostuini, La Citta Bianca, a UNESCO World Heritage city, a fortified hill town with cobblestoned alleys reminiscent of a casbah, and consistent winner of 5 sails for its beautiful beaches and clear blue Adriatic seaside. Carovigno is a hill-town with a XVIthC Castle and battlements, notably good restaurants, and an exciting Tuesday open-air market.

A few minutes drive to nearby Torre Santa Sabina, Costa Merlata, Pantanagianni, and Pilone feature great public free beaches as well as local lidos (beach clubs) with all facilities, including restaurants, bars, swimming pool, etc.

The villa is on a quiet country lane with ocean views from the road and the roof terrace, giving you privacy and tranquillity while still being in easy reach of summer seaside day and nightlife.

It was our first visit to the Puglia region. Our hosts, Paola & Jim, met us at Bari airport. Villa Palma was beyond our expectations, lovely roomy and situated in a beautiful olive grove. Paola welcomed us with a basket of organic eggs, bread and vegetables from her own garden to make sure that we will have a delicious first breakfast in Villa Palma. Taking a dip in the pool under the bright stars is something memorable. Paola & Jim cleaned the house and pool once a week and made sure there were fresh towels. Our hosts were always just a phonecall away to guide us in our explorations of the lovely lido's and beaches, and the ancient cities of Ostuni and Lecce

Make sure to book a wine tour with Paola as your guide - not only is the visit to the wine cellars a wonderful experience, but the tasting turns out to be super fun with Paola's unique sense of humor!!

We will surely return to stay in lovely Puglia and see our new BFF - Paola & Jim on our next visit. (and get some more of Paola's organic olive oil :))

Relaxing in Puglia

We had a wonderfull time in our holiday home in Puglia. Paula, the owner, had provided us at arrival with groceries like bread, milk, butter, pasta and sauce, coffee and wine, so we could make a great meal for the first night. That was great!!
The villa is very nice with large sleeping rooms and the pool is wonderfull. Not very big, but big enough for the four of us.
We have eaten outside every night under the porch.
The neighbours had a music party during the weekend and that was nice at first, but later on it became a little bit annoying. But that was only in the weekend.
The beaches in Puglia are very small and crowded, so you have to go early to find a nice spot.
There are a lot of nice places to visit in the area. We went to Ostuni by night and that was wonderfull. And we also went to Lecce ("the Florence of the south") at night and that was also very beautifull to see. Furthermore you should visit Alberobello with the Trullo homes.

In general: we had a very nice vacation and we recommend the villa to everyone.

Perfect Holiday

We staid in the Villa Palma for 3 weeks in september. Paola and her husband Jim picked us up at the airport and showed us the house and explained everything. In the kitchen Paola had prepared everything for a dinner (pasta) and the breakfast for the next morning. So no need to go shopping at the first evening.
On the next day we did a little tour through Carovigno and Paola showed us the best shops and supermarkets, which was excellent.
The house is very spacoius and even in a wheelchair very practical (no steps). Paola came every week to clean the house and to bring new towels and blankets. Also she brought us home made olive oil and heaps of vegetable from her own farm!

Through the whole stay, they have been very helpful and whenever we have the chance, we will come back.

Great Location, Great Hosts

We had our first trip to Puglia in August this year, our family half & half American and English. A spacious house with plenty of outdoor space as well, within quick distance of everything. Our hosts were responsive to our needs and oriented us well to the area. A stellar stay at a reasonable price.
