This place was incredible. The best location. We were a group of 7 college students. This place has plenty of room, and allowed us to bring back leftovers, play cards in the living room, and experience San Juan from the balcony. Checkin / checkout was a breeze. We spent the majority of each day at the beach (one within walking distance, one a drive), at the rainforest, and walking around the town. Then would finish each night at senor frogs, and have breakfast at one of the local coffee shops. Parking was easy, either on the street or in a cheap lot down the hill. Overall, best spring break ever. If I'm ever back in Puerto Rico, we'll be renting one of these properties.
When we arrived, Irma showed us around and was very friendly and nice. We were extremely pleased by the appartment, it was perfect. It was roomy, we were 6 and never felt crowded. Everything was there and in working order. It was clean and no bugs at all. We were in the heart of San Juan, we felt safe and in the center of it all. Great shops and restaurant close by. The local people were very nice. There was a grocery close by, and they were selling wine and beer. Everything was perfect. I strongly suggest this appartment. Thank you again for the beautiful stay.
Everything was good. The apartment was totally confortable, big and clean, really nice! and the location was perfect. Parking was not too easy, but anyway, we really enjoy the stay in Old San Juan. Close to pretty nice places, restaurants and stores. Awesome!
This apartment is extremely beautiful and the location is convenient to everything. Upon arrival, we walked to the super market and stocked up on groceries which was a huge plus! There were six of us in the apartment and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for our comfortable 5 day stay. The bathrooms were modern. And the apartment was a perfect blend of unique old world charm and modern amenities. :)
The location is everything! We were within walking distance to many eateries, drugstores, local shopping and the cutest little yogurt shop with yummy flavors and good conversation with the locals!
I highly recommend this apartment for the active and social group. On the weekends, Calle Cristo (the street the apartment is located on) can get quite hectic and action packed. Being as though this apartment is located right off the street, the outside noise is definitely a factor. However, we met some beautiful people and carried on a near 2 hour conversation with a local while sitting on the balcony. So the access for social encounter is definitely there.
Vida Urbana (the property management company) was very professional and attentive. Wanda greeted us with a warm smile and a wealth of knowledge of her beautiful native country.
I highly recommend! You won't regret it.
My family and I stayed at 206 Calle del Christo recently. We found the apartment to be clean, secure and overall an exceptional vacation rental!!!
The listing was accurate with all the amenities listed.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The AC worked great and was a nice retreat from the summer heat. We also found the binder of things to do and see was very helpful for us and Irma was great to check us in and out.
We loved the feel of Old San Juan and particularly enjoyed walking and exploring the shops, restaurants and the old fort!!!
Great stay, would certainly recommend it for other travelers!!!
From the moment we sent the inquiry email to check out I was 100% pleased with the excellent service of Vida Urbana. I had to plan a trip to accommodate 14 people all travel from different places and arriving at different times. The staff at Vida was so knowledgeable and resourceful. They helped us choose two nearby properties. This property sleep 8 people in our party and was cozy and spacious and very clean and had all the amenities one would need to be away from home for 5 days. The location is good on foot not so much in a car (taxi). Calle cristo seemed to be a busy street with traffic at peak time of the day and evening so we would often have the taxi driver drop us off at the beginning of the street and we would walk back (only a 5 min walk max).Wanda, the person who met us to get us checked in and out was so accommodating and pleasant. I am more then pleased with this company and I would fully recommend them to anyone looking for a clean, inexpensive condo for your trip to Puerto Rico. I will surely use them again.
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay in your apt. I was worried that no one would unlock the apt for us when we arrived late at night but Irma answered the phone when I called from the airport and was there to greet us. The apt was very clean but could use wall washing and painting. I am 6' tall so could see the excess dust on the top of the refrigerator. I would suggest that the apt contain extra toilet paper (we had to ask). We didn't expect paper towels but Irma brought that right over when we requested the toilet paper. The master bedroom didn't have a blanket just a thin bed spread but the person who slept there didn't complain until the trip was all over. The couple that slept in the bedroom with the trundle recommended that you had shelves in the bedroom as they didn't have a place to store small items that couldn't be hung in the closet. Also they didn't realize that all the hangars were in the bigger bedrooms. The location of the apt was perfect. It was within walking distances to a grocery story, drug store (Walgrens) and shopping and restaurants. Although we only ate breakfast at the apt, it was equiped with everything we needed and more. We did not rent a car during our stay. The people that we encountered in the area where so friendly (even if they couldn't always speak English) Irma was a wonderful property manager. She provided us with information about the neighborhood and recommended a variety of activities and restaurants in the area. The apt was also close to the cruise terminal. If we were younger and it wasn't so hot outside I think we could have walked there. I would recommend staying here before a cruise. It gave us the opportunity to explore the city without any problems. We would definitely rent this property again.
Old San Juan is the oldest city on US Territory and part of the World Heritage. It is about 8 by 8 blocks of unique colonial style architecture and offers everything from restaurants, bars, Puerto Rican coffee shops, galleries, open air music, nice paths to walk by the Port & Ocean, tourist shops to grocery store, pharmacy, Marshalls and Starbucks. The closest unofficial beach is in front of the Capitol Building in about 10-15 walking minutes from almost anywhere in Old San Juan. The nearest blue flag beach is called El Escambron and can reached in about 25-30 minutes walking along the Atlantic Ocean or in about 5 minutes by car/ taxi or bus. Old San Juan has a bus station from where you can go to Plaza Las Americas, the biggest mall in the Caribbean, to the Convention Center, as well as to Condado and Isla Verde, the other two main tourist spots along the coast of San Juan. Condado and Isla Verde are the modern parts of the city and have great beaches, hotels & casinos & much more...
